Electrolux was awarded the honor of being the main sponsor of the Taste Festival, which will take place in New York on November 22-24, 2013, at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center.
The first TASTE Festival was held in London ten years ago and since then it has been one of the major events in the cultural life of England. TASTE sets the bar worldwide for haute cuisine events, having expanded to 18 cities around the world. These are Amsterdam, Dubai, Dublin, Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, London, Milan, Melbourne, New York, Mumbai, Oslo, Auckland, Paris, Rome, Sydney, Stockholm, and Helsinki. And in 2013 the festival will take place for the first time in New York, Paris, Oslo and Stockholm.
The aim of the Festival is to develop taste and teach proper perception of gastronomic aesthetics.
This year Electrolux is celebrating 100 years of professional experience and heritage in a big way by inviting world famous chefs, collaborating with the company, to the culinary Festival in New York. All lovers and connoisseurs of fine dining can look forward to a real culinary show, where the main actors will be Michelin-starred chefs.
Electrolux offers three interactive cooking zones, each featuring live cooking demonstrations.
In the Electrolux Taste Theatre zone all the guests can feel like spectators, and famous New York chefs will perform on stage and create culinary masterpieces. Learn new recipes, watch the professionals’ work and ask questions – all these will be possible in the Taste Theatre zone.
If mere observation is not enough for you and you want to carve the succulent beef, mix a delicious sauce or bake a delicate dessert, the Electrolux Chefs’ Secrets area is just for you. Each guest of this stage will create under the strict guidance and supervision of famous Michelin-starred chefs. Each master class participant will get his own workplace equipped with the innovative Electrolux equipment, a set of products and necessary accessories. A maximum of 20 lucky guests are invited to join the working group, and all participants will be supervised by a professional. The exclusive experience will be available only by signing up in advance for a master class and purchasing a ticket.
The third, truly unique zone – Electrolux Chef’s Table. In a chamber-like atmosphere, a famous Michelin-starred chef will prepare dishes from a special menu for his guests sitting at one table. The cook will personally meet guests and share his culinary secrets, and the Electrolux Chefs’ Table will briefly become a full-fledged restaurant which will be closed for a select few. The number of seats at the table is strictly limited, only pre-purchased tickets will be available to enter the mecca of high professional cuisine.
The Festival will also include presentations and master classes by the best restaurants in New York. A rich program of music and entertainment will add a special flavor to the festival atmosphere.
