For the tenth year in a row, Electrolux was named industry leader in the Consumer Durable Goods category of the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability World Index DJSI World survey. In addition to this year’s research published by RobecoSAM, Electrolux has also shown significant improvements in corporate responsibility.
Henrik Sandström, Head of Sustainability at Electrolux“Sustainability is an integral part of the Electrolux business model. And that characteristic becomes even more important given the impact we have on society,” said.In addition to addressing issues such as improving the energy efficiency of products and manufacturing processes, we want to use our global network and expertise to improve the lives of consumers and communities around the world.”.
“We are very pleased that our efforts have been recognized in this year’s DJSI index and we are preparing to introduce new initiatives that will help improve new dimensions of social sustainability,” Sandstrom added.
The DJSI World Index ranks the top 10 percent of the 2,500 largest corporations in terms of their economic, environmental and social impact. Electrolux has been a member of the Index every year since it was first published in 1999.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index allows investors to consider sustainability when planning their portfolios. But beyond that, the index is an effective way for companies to inspire sustainability practices in their work.
Impressive! I’m curious about what specific sustainable practices and initiatives have led Electrolux to consistently achieve the top sustainability index in the home appliances industry for the past decade. How does Electrolux prioritize environmental responsibility and what steps are they taking to ensure their products are sustainable?
That’s impressive! I’m curious to know what specific factors contribute to Electrolux’s consistent top ranking in the sustainability index? Is it their energy-efficient products, use of eco-friendly materials, or investment in renewable energy sources? Furthermore, how does this sustainability index compare to other leading home appliance companies?
