EIZO introduces new generation of 24.1-inch flat-panel graphic monitors

New York, February 16, 2016 – EIZO Corporation TSE: 6737 announced the ColorEdge CG2420 and CS2420, two 24.1-inch monitors with 1920×1200 resolution for use in creative industries.

Monitors

Both monitors feature a flat bezel design that is 39% narrower than its predecessor. Design includes a built-in handle for carrying the monitor between locations or within the studio. Front-panel electrostatic switches instead of traditional buttons provide comfortable access to the monitor settings. LED backlit switches for easy operation even in dimly lit work environments.

ColorEdge CG2420 is a professional-grade monitor for use in photography, design, print and post-production. Built-in self-calibration sensor ensures trouble-free monitor maintenance, optimal color reproduction and image stability throughout the creative process.

The ColorEdge CS2420 monitor incorporates many features of the EIZO ColorEdge line. The new product meets the needs and budgets of hobbyists and advanced users who want to create and edit content and enjoy photography, illustration and more.

Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 monitor

Both monitors come with EIZO ColorNavigator 6 software that meets all requirements for calibration functionality. Users can select preset settings for photography, print and web design, or set their own brightness, gamma and white point settings and generate an ICC profile. Since ColorNavigator 6 software is a proprietary product, EIZO guarantees compatibility with a wide range of calibration devices from X-Rite, Datacolor and other manufacturers 1.

ColorEdge CG2420 and CS2420 monitors feature an IPS in-plane-switching matrix with a wide color gamut and native 1920×1200 resolution. Wide color gamut guarantees 99% Adobe RGB reproduction, so photos with bright blue skies and lush green forests will

Look exactly the way you want them to, which is impossible to achieve on monitors limited to the sRGB color space. The ColorEdge CG2420’s integrated matrix also displays 98% of the DCI-P3 color space used in post-production.

Both monitors come with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty that includes an LCD panel warranty2.

Availability

ColorEdge CG2420 and CS2420 will start shipping in March 2016.

The new products will have a recommended retail price of $1,105 for the CS2420 and $1,910 for the CG2420.
