Laser light

Dyson has released vacuum cleaners equipped with a laser light that detects invisible dust.

The extra fine, soft rollers have a green diode laser embedded in the extra fine nozzle. This is not a coincidence as the green color provides the best dust contrast. The laser is positioned at a precise 1.5 degree angle at a height of 7.3 mm to detect and remove microdust particles that are difficult to see with the naked eye.

Piezo Sensor

Anti-static carbon fiber bristles collect microscopic dust that is sucked into the vacuum cleaner and hit the acoustic piezo sensor as it enters the container. This creates micro-vibrations that are converted into electrical signals, the piezo sensor measures and counts dust particles, and transmits the data to the LCD screen, displaying the amount and size of dust removed as a chart.

Piezo sensor adjusts the vacuum cleaner’s power in “Auto” mode depending on the amount of dust. When it detects an increased concentration of dust, it transmits this data to the microprocessor and automatically increases the suction power. When the amount of dust becomes moderate, the power is reduced to the previous level.

High torque nozzle features new winding protection technology. It features 56 polycarbonate teeth that are located on the brush stem and prevent hair from wrapping around the shaft during cleaning. This allows them to be automatically scrubbed and sent straight to the bin.

New miniature brush with anti-fluffing protection. Quickly and effectively removes long hair and pet hair. Looks like a cone with an Archimedes screw. Thanks to its shape and special angle of the bristles, it prevents tangling and spirals the hair into the container.

Filtering

New Dyson vacuum cleaners are equipped with a five-stage filtration system that captures and retains 99.99% of particles down to 0.3 microns. Thanks to this technology and the tightness of the device, all dust remains inside the container.
