Direct printing from smartphones now available to everyone

Epson is pleased to introduce the latest addition to the “Epson Printing Factory” series of cartridgeless printers and MFPs – the Epson L456. The device has a 3.7 cm LCD screen that allows you to edit and print photos from memory cards without using a computer. In addition, thanks to the Wi-Fi Direct function and support of the Epson Connect service, you can print wirelessly directly from your smartphone and even scan images to it. Another distinct advantage of the Epson L456 is the ability to print borderless 10×15 size photographs. This feature, along with the LCD screen and memory card reader slot, is its distinctive advantage among the other 4-color devices in the Epson Printing Factory series.

Epson Printing Factory line of devices is an original Epson development. All devices are a unique combination of the reliable Epson Micro Piezo piezo printing technology and a new printing design with built-in ink tanks instead of cartridges. It makes it possible to print in record time and still produce the highest quality prints.

Like all devices in the Epson Printing Factory series, the Epson L456 has an impressive consumable life. For example, the starter ink set is enough to print 4,000 b/w and 6,500 color documents. Prints an average of 300 pp. per month, you can forget about refills for 3 years! Each subsequent set of ink will last for the same number of prints, ensuring a record low cost of ownership for this device.

Ilya Khokhlov, Product Manager for Inkjet Devices at Epson New York office, comments: “Epson L456 is a new milestone in the development of Epson Printing Factory series. Not only does this MFP remain cost-effective, compact, and easy to use, but it also gets new features such as Wi-Fi Direct, LCD screen with control panel, and direct print from memory cards. All of this, combined with the ability to print without margins, makes the Epson L456 a truly top-of-the-line model capable of meeting any needs of today’s users.”.
