ASSEMBLING, INSTALLING THE NECESSARY PARTS, HELPING INSTRUCTIONS
For dicing, we use a disk that has a metal cutting grid built into it it stays in place and cuts the food vertically, while the knife rotating underneath it cuts horizontally, resulting in cubes.
The whole mechanism became clear as soon as we saw the details, we didn’t even need to refer to the manual. To fix the blade and the lid you need to rotate them clockwise until they are in place.
After inserting the food, the safety catch snaps into place, it’s as easy as that. An interesting construction of the loading chute: a product size limiter can be inserted in it.
For example, long vegetables – carrots, cucumber – when passing through this device fall under the knife from an upright position, resulting in cutting with less waste.
DICING: TEST RESULTS
Dice sizes: potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, sausage – 7x8x7 mm, the egg – smaller cubes. The size is ideal for olivier and vinaigrette. If you help loading the food with the pusher, the pieces of food are larger – 7x7x15 mm. This size is perfect for soup, side dishes and vegetable stews, or maybe someone likes bigger pieces for a salad, too.
Quality of the cubes: very smooth edges except for the egg and onion cubes . The manufacturer recommends steaming the potatoes if you want to get a very dense vegetable structure for the smoothest cubes.
Waste % of the original product weight : boiled egg 0, boiled carrot 0, sausage 5, boiled potato 0, fresh cucumber 10, raw onion 401
FINISHING, CARE
The nozzle has a protruding part with rough edges, and you have to hold the whole structure by it when removing the nozzle. The result is an unpleasant sensation in the fingers when repeatedly removing the nozzle we photographed cubes from different products, so after each cutting we took off and put on the nozzle .
The design of the nozzle demountable: it is necessary to unbend the mounts, detach the rim and take out the grating all in 5 seconds . The grate leaves bits of the last of the sliced foods stuck in it.
There is a device for cleaning the grate, it is perfectly inserted into the grate and pushes out the stuck … cubes that can be added to the main mass. The peeled grate is quite easy to clean, but you have to do it with caution, because it is very sharp, as the manufacturer warns in the instructions.
MANUFACTURER’S RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DICING
The instruction recommends cutting most of the usual Olivier products potatoes, sausages, cucumbers on the second speed, but our experiment showed that it is better to use the first speed, as the most correct cubes of even size are obtained exactly this way. When cutting long pieces of food carrots, cucumbers it is recommended to use the special slicing drum.
1 After cutting each item we took off the cutting head and inspected it and the cubes. Cutting the food one after the other instead of doing this, there is less waste.

Can anyone who has used the BOSCH MCM 5529RU ProfiKubixx food processor please share their experience with how well it performs in dicing? I’m considering purchasing one and would love to know if it lives up to its claims as a professional-grade processor.
