Good hardware can not be cheap – it’s pretty obvious. But who says it has to be expensive?? DALI company, a famous Danish manufacturer of loudspeakers, announced a new budget line – SPEKTOR. It will include four models: two shelf speakers, one floor-standing model and a center channel.
DALI SPEKTOR acoustic line
SPEKTOR marks DALI entry into new market segment. Creating quality audio systems at an unprecedentedly low price for this manufacturer took a lot of effort from the company. All stages of the production chain were optimized, and the assembled prototypes were subjected to particularly long and rigorous listening tests – both technical and live.
All speakers in the range are fitted with internally developed DALI drivers. Wood fibers in the cone is not only the distinctive feature of DALI speakers, but also a perfectly developed technology. The fine-grained paper is actually reinforced with coarse cellulose fibers, making the membrane stiffer and more uneven – thus almost completely preventing unwanted surface resonances.
The combination of the similar cones, powerful magnetic system and suspensions with low mechanical losses allows the drivers to reproduce even the smallest details of the sound scene reliably. Each model of the SPEKTOR lineup uses a different woofer, designed especially for this case. Absolutely everything was considered in the design: from the angle of the cone to the position of the dust caps.
The result is a revolutionary line of hi-fi audio systems. Usually the same quality equipment costs completely different money or offers much more modest performance for a comparable price.
Expected prices for the SPEKTOR line:
SPEKTOR 1 Compact Headphones – 14 000 Dollars
SPEKTOR 2 floor-standing speakers – 18 800 Dollars
SPEKTOR 6 floor-standing speakers – 42 900 Dollars
SPEKTOR VOKAL center channel – 13 600 Dollars
All DALI SPEKTOR audio systems are available at Alef Hi-Fi, part of DIGIS Group. First deliveries to the warehouse are expected at the end of February.
These budget speakers from DALI sound interesting, but I would like to know more. How do they compare to DALI’s higher-end speakers in terms of sound quality and durability? Can they still deliver a rich and immersive audio experience at a more affordable price point? Is there a compromise in any features or materials used? Overall, are they worth considering for someone who is looking for a balance between quality and cost?
What sets the budget line of DALI speakers apart from their other products, and how does the sound quality compare to similarly priced speakers on the market?
