Cutting and grinding without dust: Bosch extractor hoods for professional angle grinders

Bosch is expanding its range of professional dust extraction accessories with new extraction hoods for angle grinders. So in addition to the wide range of products for dust-free drilling and chiseling, Bosch offers professionals solutions for cutting and chiseling in materials such as concrete, ceramic tile, brick and sandstone – with guaranteed protection for health and tools. The hoods are suitable for use with standard Bosch angle grinders.

Five models are available: two Easy Adjust hoods, which are exceptionally easy and quick to install, and three Full Cov-er models, which provide more efficient dust extraction thanks to their enclosed design – while they remove dust when it occurs. Laborious cleaning after use is a thing of the past. The new extractor hoods for sanders make working faster and more accurate, and safer, for those involved in high-rise construction, roofers, electricians, plumbers, and floor-layers and tilers.

Instant readiness: Easy Adjust hoods

For quick and extremely easy installation the Easy Adjust hoods GDE 125 EA-S Professional and GDE 125 EA-T Professional are available. Both models are intended for use on single-handed angle grinders with a 125 mm baseplate diameter and can be mounted in the same way as the hoods

angle grinders of various types: “S” for “Screw”, “T” for “Toolless” without auxiliary tool . Both hoods can be easily folded over the existing guard and connected to the grinder with a Click-clip lock.

Easy Adjust hoods are therefore ideal when the craftsman is frequently changing materials: quick assembly saves valuable time. In addition the low weight, the cutting depth adjustment and the cutting line marking ensure highly accurate results.

Extremely efficient: extraction hoods Full Covers

The Full Cover models GDE 115/125 FC-T Professional, GDE 230 FC-S Profes-sional and GDE 230 FC-T Professional meet the toughest demands on dust protection. Unlike the Easy Adjust hoods, they do not fit on top of the guards, but replace them. Their closed design ensures more efficient dust extraction.

The high efficiency of these hoods has been confirmed by independent tests carried out by the BG Bau, the German construction industry association. At the same time, the Balanced Design, low weight and integrated rollers make the Full Covers easy to handle.

The GDE 115/125 FC-T Professional hood is designed for single-handed angle grinders with 115 and 125 mm baseplate diameters, the GDE 230 FC-S Professional and the GDE 230 FC-T Professional are for double-handed angle grinders with 230 mm baseplate diameters. Like the Easy Adjust models, they are equipped with depth of cut adjustment, as well as cutting line markings for high-precision work.

Click & Clean compatible for high degree of protection during operation

All new hoods are compatible with the Bosch Click & Clean system. The system includes power tools, wet and dry dust extractors, vacuum cleaner accessories and L-BOXX cases that fit together exactly – all together guaranteeing greater user safety, optimum tool protection, faster, more efficient and precise work. Exhaust hoods are therefore an important factor for compliance with the strictest safety requirements.
