When watching spectacular moments on curved OLED TVs, such as grandiose landscapes and nature scenes, you can catch yourself feeling like you’re in those picturesque locations in person.

Using its vast experience in display technology, Samsung has optimized the picture quality of curved OLED TVs to provide even more comfort when watching: the picture on the screen does not strain the eyes, as the curved panel allows leaving the same distance between the user and any part of the screen, which can bend at almost any angle.

“Samsung is actively pursuing innovation in television solutions beyond what consumers would imagine or ever expect. We will continue our tradition of developing innovations for Samsung TVs, constantly introducing new TV technologies that help improve the lives of users,” said HS Kim, executive vice president of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

The curved OLED TV introduced by Samsung at CES 2013 offers a more immersive and panoramic viewing experience compared to traditional flat screens. The curvature of the display enhances the viewing angles and gives a sense of depth, making the image appear more lifelike. This design also reduces glare and reflections, providing a more comfortable viewing experience. However, there are some downsides to curved displays. One limitation is that the optimal viewing angle is limited to the center of the screen, so viewers seated off to the sides may not experience the full benefits of the curvature. Additionally, mounting and placement options may be more limited with curved TVs compared to flat screens. Overall, while curved OLED TVs offer a unique and engaging visual experience, they may not be suitable for all viewing environments.
