Canon’s family of installation projectors includes a flagship model

New York, America, October 21, 2014. Canon Europe, the world leader in imaging solutions, today announced the new flagship installation projector, the Canon XEED WUX6000, which features outstanding image quality, durability and extensive connectivity and installation options. Highlights include energy efficiency, as the XEED WUX6000 can project a bright image at very high resolution using only 0.076W per lumen.

The new projector’s advantages, such as high image quality, wide connectivity and installation options, are based on the AISYS 4 optical side-lighting system.1 Aspectual Illumination System and an innovative image processing system. Add to this the new LCOS panels, which give you higher brightness and reflection performance with lower power consumption for higher clarity.

New LCOS panel is heat-resistant, enabling the XEED WUX6000 to run for up to 100 hours per frame without the risk of image contouring that tends to occur after two to three hours on a standard LCD panel. This is an advantage which makes it ideal for exhibitions, where projectors often work over 7 hours a day.

The XEED WUX6000 is compatible with five projection lenses – a short-focus fixed focal length lens as well as a wide-angle, standard, long-focus and ultra-long-focus zoom lens. All five lenses use the same lens mount mechanism as the XEED WUX 4000 and WUX5000, expanding the options for system integrators and users by making them compatible with existing projectors.

The RSIL05WF wide angle zoom lens captures images up to 1524cm at an aspect ratio of 16:10 from a distance of just 13m from the screen. The motorized lens shift system allows you to adjust the image position in all directions by remote control. In addition, the image correction system built into the XEED WUX6000 with edge blending ensures high precision in frame blending. Projector can be installed at almost any angle, so video can be displayed on any surface.

Julian Rutland, director of planning and strategy at Canon Europe, notes: “Today’s projectors need to be flexible in their installation and still deliver ultra-clear images. That’s why we are launching a new flagship model with multiple compatible lenses, high image quality and low power consumption. Designed for offices and classrooms, it can also be used for digital signage.

XEED WUX6000 will be available in December 2014.
