THE EXTERIOR
Like other Pixmas, the MX524 comes in a black lacquered body. Stylish glossy design suits to any home or office interior. The problem of fingerprints and dust particles is solved by wiping the housing regularly with a microfiber or any soft cloth.
Compact device. Connectors on the rear panel: for power, telephone line, Ethernet, USB type B-F . Manipulation of paper, cartridges, menu settings are accessible from the front, which means that the machine can be pushed close to the wall and placed not only traditionally – on a table or nightstand, but also in a niche shelf. FUNCTIONALITY
The MX524 is available with a FINE cartridge consisting of a black cartridge and a color cartridge M, Y, C . FINE color cartridges are standard in all Canon low-cost solutions. To test it out, we printed our traditional pattern and lots of photos to make sure that the MFP reproduces natural colors and halftones perfectly, and also renders graphics and detailed images clearly. The photos printed with the MX524 are vibrant and juicy without affecting color reproduction. And that’s with factory settings! The photocopying is also very fast, which is true for other Canon devices. This sets this MFP apart from its competitors.
The driver offers fast prints with speed priority. In essence, it’s an economy mode – the color intensity is reduced by about 30-40%, which helps save ink.
The MX524 is more than just a printer. The device allows you to scan, to copy documents, to receive/send faxes. Multi-Page Operation is convenient thanks to the 30-page automatic document feeder. Standard copying functions: document preview, copying by size of paper inserted, two or four copies per page, selection of scale, paper type and size, print quality. When copying a spread of a magazine or book the device removes the dark border around the printed area.

Auto mode cuts off blank margins. But alignment of a crooked document is not yet available.
MOBILE OPERATION
The Canon Pixma MX524 can be connected to mobile devices running iOS Apple smartphones and tablets , Windows RT and Android by installing free software from the Apple Store or Google market. MFPs print from and scan to mobile devices and store the results in their memory. Communication takes place via Wi-Fi.
Photos can be printed not only from PCs or smartphones, but also from online albums – the device works with cloud services thanks to Google Cloud Print and Pixma Cloud Link. To do this, the user must create an account in Google, registering and confirming the registration after reading the QR code of the device. You can send scanned files from your MFP to the cloud, as well as print files that are already in the MFP.
For quick printing on the front there is a slot for USB-drives, to which you can also scan files, External hard drives are not visible to the device.
