Novelty provides flexible presentation control: through a wireless connection, images, video and audio can be transmitted to the projector from multiple devices at once ā€“ with or without a router. The projector is equipped with a PC-less function, which means it can display content directly from a USB stick, without using a computer. With edge blending support and unique four-angle keystone correction, images from multiple projectors can be effortlessly blended. Simply connect devices up to 9 units via LAN cables and select one of 14 patterns.

Constant brightness throughout the zoom range, outstanding energy efficiency, advanced connectivity, durability, and ease of installation and maintenance make the XEED WUX500 ideal for a wide variety of users and applications, including project and design offices, command centers and simulation systems, conference centers and meeting rooms, museums, and educational institutions.

The XEED WUX500 uses LCOS panels to deliver a solid image with 5,000 lumens color brightness and durability required for an installation projector. True WUXGA resolution 1920Ɨ1200 pixels makes text readable and graphics clearer and smoother.

The projector lens features a constant aperture of F2.8 and stable brightness throughout the entire zoom range.

In addition, the XEED WUX500 incorporates new HDBaseT technology to enable the transmission of HD content, audio and control signals over long distances via LAN cable. The cable can be stretched up to 100 meters, which makes system configuration much more convenient.

ā€œThe Canon XEED WUX500 is designed to meet the growing demand for easy-to-install, compact installation devices with Wi-Fi support and outstanding image quality,ā€ comments Andreas Herrnbƶck&ouml ck , European Business Development Manager, Projectors, Visual Communication Solutions division, Canon Europe. ā€“ It is perfectly suited for use in conference centers, boardrooms and reception areas, where projected images must be bright and clear so that they can be seen even when the room is well lit. Wi-Fi connectivity creates new opportunities for training, collaboration in meetings and transferring information to the projector, which converts it into sharp, contrasting and detailed images with vivid color. And the computer-less edge blending support lets you make brilliant, composite projections, for example in museums or other cultural institutions, cost-effectively.

The new projectorā€™s LCOS panels feature Canonā€™s unique AISYS optical incidental illumination system technology, which guarantees the best combination of brightness and contrast characteristics. LCOS panel technology employs a thin layer of liquid crystal to quickly create images without the distortion and unwanted ā€œiridescenceā€, ā€œlatticeā€ or ā€œgridā€ effects of common LCD and DLP projectors. In addition, the AISYS optical system maximizes the potential of the light source, even if it is not powerful enough.

The XEED WUX500 draws just 365W, with class-leading low power consumption. Special ECO button on the remote control for quick lamp mode switching and power management. Eco mode extends lamp life to 5,000 hours. In addition, the projector comes with a three-year extended warranty: during this time, the customer can replace the lamp free of charge if it fails, and if the device has to be taken to the service, Canon will provide a similar one for the next dayā€™s repair. All of which considerably reduces the projectorā€™s operating costs.

The XEED WUX500 goes on sale in August 2015.
