Canon introduces second version of imageRUNNER ADVANCE Generation 3 range

Canon, the world leader in imaging solutions, has announced a significant upgrade to its third-generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE lineup. The second version of the line includes the latest hardware and software technologies, offering companies a secure, interoperable, cloud-based workflow solution.

New range of imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices will run on the Unified Firmware Platform UFP , which offers an even more stable user experience. Continuous monitoring to prevent vulnerabilities before they arise, saving you time and money. Continuous updating of the device platform with the latest features to keep equipment fully functional and secure with minimal effort on the part of the user. UFP gives users peace of mind that their investment is secure, eliminating the need to change device fleets after each upgrade.

Connecting to the cloud with uniflow online express

Designed for seamless integration of the office environment into the cloud, the second release of the third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE range offers a range of models designed to give customers the tools they need in a variety of ways. The updated devices include integrated features, including an efficient cloud scanning and output management solution – uniFLOW Online Express – as well as a device-based user authentication solution – Universal Login Manager. Track activity and easily create text and graphical reports in the uniFLOW Online Express portal. The control panel makes it easy to drag and drop widgets and provides an overview of your entire printing, scanning and copying infrastructure with detailed reports of user and device activity. uniFLOW Online Express gives administrators the ability to control company print, copy, fax and scan costs, making it easier to properly manage costs.

The upgraded imageRUNNER Advance range can also be integrated with other scanning and document solutions including uniFLOW and Therefore™ Online. True cloud integration allows companies to use the most appropriate devices for specific tasks. Easy to install and manage uniFLOW platform accesses state-of-the-art cloud technology to streamline business processes and increase productivity, allowing employees to focus on key tasks.

The uniFLOW Online Express and uniFLOW Online solutions will support a wide range of Canon equipment, including the imageRUNNER C3000 series and the i-SENSYS devices released in 2017, as well as this year’s i-SENSYS black and white printers, so that Canon can offer customers a wide range of solutions in 2018.

The second version of the platform offers increased security and control over the device fleet with dynamic hardware and software integration.

User authentication means even tasks sent from a smartphone will be completed securely and with privacy protection. To prevent unauthorized distribution of sensitive information, various device features can be disabled for individual users, and visual and audible Original Reminder notifications will remind you of the scanned originals left on the device. The uniFLOW Online Express solution provides full transparency of printer usage, allowing managers to manage costs and, if necessary, restrict access by departments, workgroups or individuals to certain functions or devices. Guest printing feature enables mobile devices to connect securely to print without access to the company network.

The second version of the third-generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE line of devices reduces downtime and requires minimal intervention during operation. With the imageWARE Management Console, users can remotely check current device status and consumable counts. Plus, you can scan or print securely on the go, easily integrating your mobile devices into company workflows. line

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE offers a variety of ways to connect smart devices, including QR code, optional NFC and optional low-power Bluetooth, and support for standard services such as Google Cloud Print, AirPrint and Mopria.
