Superb optical performance

The usa 14-35mm F4L IS USM incorporates an advanced optical design with three UD elements and three pressed glass aspherical lens elements – one of which is both ultra-low dispersive UD and aspherical. The result of Canon’s 50 years of research and development into aspherical optics for interchangeable lens cameras.

With extensive investment and high-precision manufacturing techniques, these elements exhibit non-spherical curvature, concentrating light in a single point to reduce aberration and improve clarity. Captured images of comparable quality to Canon’s renowned fixed focal length lenses. Optical technology helps achieve maximum sharpness over the entire frame, something that is usually difficult to achieve with wide-angle lenses, where spherical aberrations are noticeably more frequent.
