Canon has released a new model in its series of lightest and smallest 4K projectors – XEED 4K600Z

Canon has announced the XEED 4K600Z, a compact and bright laser-phosphor LCOS projector with higher than hardware 4K resolution. Light output of 6000 lumens ensures the highest quality and clarity of images. This versatile professional grade projector is suitable for visual simulations, art installations and digital signage, but can also be used for teaching purposes.

Canon

The highest 4K clarity and precision optics

Featuring native 4K resolution 4096 x 2400 , LCOS technology and advanced AISYS optical system with Canon designed lenses, the XEED 4K600Z offers fine detail and accurate color reproduction in the sRGB color space to keep your audience entertained.

The XEED 4K600Z projector delivers bright, colourful and clear images, making it ideal for video intensive simulations. No distortion due to minimum field curvature, compensation for motion blur, and ultra-fast response 1.0 frame delay at 60 Hz further enhance image quality and viewing comfort. Sharpness of focus is practically independent of operating conditions: the image will be perfectly sharp even when projecting on a curved or dome-shaped surface.

Canon

Compact size, maximum convenience and rich connectivity

For all its incredible brightness and clarity, the XEED 4K600Z is exceptionally compact. Together with the lens, the XEED 4K600Z weighs just 26kg, making it the world’s lightest and most compact laser projector in its class with true 4K resolutionii. It’s easy to mount at any angle and its +/- 60% vertical and +/-10% horizontal/horizontal lens shift actuator lets you shift the image without touching the projector, which makes installation even easier.

Easy handling and easy mounting are not all that give the XEED 4K600Z exceptional flexibility: a rich set of programmable settings also greatly expands the range of applications and scenarios. For example, the laser technology implemented in this model is suitable for digital signage: the XEED 4K600Z is capable of working around the clock, even in portrait mode.

And its accurate grayscale reproduction makes it possible to view x-rays with the precision needed for medical schools: the Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine DICOM simulation mode is compatible with DICOM 14 standards for teaching medical image interpretation.

Video technology

The functionality is on par with its predecessor, the XEED 4K600STZ, while the projection ratio of 1.34-2.35:1 enhances its use as a permanent projection solution.

Wi-Fi connection allows remote control of the projector from iOS devices in previous models, remote control was only possible through a wired LAN connection iv. Canon’s new Projector Service Tool app for iOS saves time, allowing users to remotely control their projector and view and troubleshoot alerts.

Brighter lamp with extended lamp life

Instead of a traditional lamp, the XEED 4K600Z is equipped with a blue laser light source that provides a more powerful light output and allows for more precise brightness level control. As a result, projector life is increased to 40,000 hours and maintenance requirements and downtime costs are greatly reduced.
