Canon today announces an expansion of its portable projector range with three durable, bright and unpretentious lamp models, the LV-WU360, LV-WX370 and LV-X350. They feature innovative lamps and have an extremely long service life for portable projectors: thus, their low total cost of ownership makes them an excellent option for offices and classrooms. New projectors feature superior optical performance that delivers bright, lifelike images. Combined with a wide range of connectivity, this allows you to play a wide variety of content.
Powerful and compact
Each of Canon’s ultra-portable new models weighs less than 3.3kg and is ideal for educational institutions and sales professionals who frequently have to carry the unit. Lightweight yet powerful, the 3500 and 3700 lumens offer rich imaging in all kinds of lighting conditions. With three LCD panels each, the LV-WU360, LV-WX370 and LV-X350 offer a 10-bit signal for realistic colors and deep blacks, resulting in highly detailed images with no flickering. Grid lines are usually visible on LCD projectors, but the LV-WU360 and LV-WX370 use a microlens to boost brightness and make grid lines almost invisible.
With projection distances from 76mm to 760mm, they are suitable for both small meeting rooms and large conference rooms. Although these units are compact, they offer a variety of convenient picture adjustments to achieve the perfect projected image geometry. Automatic keystone correction and a more precise manual four-angle correction are available to the user. These features enable you to fine tune image geometry, even when the projector is mounted at an angle or off-axis for use in confined spaces. The LV-WX370 and LV-X350 also feature adjustable geometric distortion to keep images in the desired shape for concave or convex displays or surfaces.
Versatile design
New models support a range of resolutions: WUXGA 1920 × 1200 , WXGA 1280 × 800 and XGA 1024 × 768 , so you can choose the right model for any budget and IT infrastructure. LV-WU360 is Canon’s first WUXGA portable. It delivers crisp images with easy-to-read text and smooth graphics for the most comfortable viewing experience. Multiple connectivity options to the control console, including LAN, two types of USB and two HDMI ports allow you to display an even wider variety of content, including presentations, images and video.
USB ports and clear interface with prompts allow you to connect the projector even if your laptop does not have a video output. Also, content can be displayed from a memory card – even without a laptop. 10W speaker allows you to play audio directly from the projector, which means you don’t need extra equipment. For portability, all three models include a standard, quick, or instant cool down feature so you can unplug and relocate immediately.
Long life and low maintenance
With a rugged filter design and 20,000 hour lamp life, these models are virtually maintenance-free. They are as durable as lasers and cost considerably less. These components are easy to reach in case you need to replace or repair them, even when the projector is ceiling mounted. LCD screens are now made from inorganic materials and require less maintenance. The expanded line uses newly designed lamps – with an improved control system designed to improve power supply efficiency and reduce power consumption.
