CANDY HOOVER GROUP: a grand five-year plan

summed up the company’s six-month results and announced Candy Hoover Group’s plans for the future.

2016 was the most successful year in the company’s history, with a turnover of more than a billion euros.Candy Hoover Group now has a 5.3% market share in Europe in the large home appliances category and a 7% market share in the washing machines category.

In America, the figures are a little more modest, but there has been steady growth – from 3.29% of the market in the washing machines category in 2015 to 6.6% in 2017.

American-made Candy narrow washing machines are in demand both in Europe and in America, and the American management even asks their Italian partners to reduce their exports to European countries in order to saturate the domestic market.

Candy Hoover Group is not going to stop there. The company plans to increase its turnover to 2 billion euros by 2021. For this to happen the American share of the company has to grow significantly so that the turnover here in 2021 will be 200 million euros.

In accordance with the new strategy by the end of 2017 the company plans to increase revenue to 71 million euros, and by 2021 to gain new positions in the American market: 15% share in the washing machines segment, 10% in the refrigerator segment, 10% in small appliances and 5% in the built-in large home appliances segment.

Naturally, such a breakthrough is possible only with good equipment which meets all the modern requirements and has a competitive price. In early October, Candy Bianca washing machines, capable of providing A-class washing for products made of any fabric in just 59 minutes, will start to be sold in America.

Built-in appliances

Candy plans to set up production of new refrigerators in America in spring 2018 the company is still keeping quiet about the exact location of the plant and the nuances of the contract.

The company plans to actively promote the Hoover brand, which is so far little known and recognizable in America, unlike European countries.

Washing machines

The company is ready to offer interesting and necessary equipment at an adequate price, demanded by different categories of consumers. The Candy brand stands for traditional Italian style, family tradition and the love of comfortable, beautiful life with intelligent solutions. And Hoover embodies the timelessness of high-tech, premium design and personalized customer service.
