You will need: 500 grams of flour, 20 grams of fresh yeast or a bag of dry yeast, 300 ml of water or milk, 10 grams of salt.

Preparation: sift flour into a large bowl, add salt. Dissolve yeast in milk or warm water and add to flour. Knead all ingredients into elastic dough.

Leave the dough to rise until it has doubled in volume.

Make two layers of dough and place them on a greased baking or pastry sheet. Leave the breads to rise for about 25 minutes more.

Make cross-shaped notches before baking. Sprinkle the crusts with poppy seeds, caraway seeds or sesame seeds.

Steam add about 200 ml of water for 20 to 25 minutes.
