Talking about the history of things: the air grill – who thought of it and who picked it up?

The first air grills didn’t have the characteristics of modern multifunctional appliances that could cook a wide variety of dishes – they were designed for the single purpose of “grilling. Three very simple principles were the prerequisite for their development:

– American cuisine has always been known for well-cooked foods

– Cooking at home as tasty as over an open fire in your own backyard has never worked out so well

– Many establishments required a simple solution that would allow them to grill quickly and deliciously.

It was for these reasons that the aerogrill concept was born in the eighties, which would quickly become a reality. At first you could only buy an air grill in the U.S., but within just a few years it became popular in many other countries.

Many people liked the aerogrill not only because of the ability to solve the basic tasks of traditional Western cooking, but also because the resulting dishes were much healthier for the body than those made according to traditional recipes, in particular, contained much less harmful fats.

The first models were designed for thoughtful housewives who cook for large families or guests. Buying an air grill with a removable lid and a single speed convection was as important to a young family as getting a vacuum cleaner or a refrigerator, for example.

It was very popular – and thus is still being sold almost as it is today. The only significant improvement is the appearance of a bracket for the lid, which makes cooking in the aero grill much more convenient.

The opportunity to buy an air grill became especially popular when models with adjustable convection speed appeared. This made it possible to cook a wide variety of dishes and at the same time to control the state of the products in the aircooler. The model has been improved with automatic controllers, some of which are equipped with programs for common recipes.

The ability to digitally control it has made it one of the most versatile pieces of equipment in the kitchen or in the restaurant. Thanks to the ability to program the work of any product, the device has received the widest application. Today you can use the air grill to keep food hot, cook the most delicate products and know that their quality will always remain excellent.

Steel – stronger, but tastier with hologen?

Brand 35131

More and more often our customers ask us: “Should I choose a steel or halogen air heater??”. Oil to the fire was added by one of the sellers of air grills, placing on their website information that “halogen” is not accepted in cooking appliances in general and in air grills in particular.

As a result, buyers of air grills are divided into two camps – opponents and supporters of “Halogen”. We, however, without taking sides, will try to bring clarity to the situation with this controversial “halogen.

Halogen lifespan. Halogen” service life, as declared by the manufacturer, is 5000 hours. Let’s do the math. Cooking appliances are used for an average of 2 to 3 hours a day. So if you use the air grill every day, the lifetime of the halogen heating element will be about five and a half years.

In practice, however, few people use aerogrills daily, which means that the service life will be 8-10 years. Again, after this time, the halogen heating element can be replaced with a new one.

Aerogrill manufacturer. The vast majority of factories in China have a narrow specialization. This means that a factory that produces aerogrills will never produce hair dryers and other appliances that are far removed from aerogrills, simply for technological reasons.

All molds, casting machines and dies, designed for the production of aerogrills is practically impossible to reconfigure for the production of the same hairdryers, or anything else. The factory that produces aerogrills should not have a patent at all.

Let’s open the Great Soviet Encyclopedia and look for the meaning of the word patent – “the document certifying the state recognition of technical solution as invention and assigning the exclusive right to this invention to the person to whom it was issued patent holder “… A cooking device – “aerogrill” has never been patented by anybody, and this means that factory should not have any patent.

3. Pros of “Halogen”. Of course, the main advantage in using a halogen heating element is aesthetic. Halogen gives a very pleasant and soft lighting during operation. It is pleasing from an aesthetic point of view and also gives you a better view of the state and degree of readiness of the food you are cooking. To the pluses we can also include the accelerated, in comparison with the steel heating element, time of heating and cooling of the halogen heating element.

4. Disadvantages of “halogen”. The main disadvantages are two. First – an air grill with a halogen heating element may not be turned on if the air grill brought from frost has not warmed up to room temperature.

Frankly speaking, the same rule applies to all household appliances. From a sharp temperature drop, the halogen heating element simply burns out, but the steel heating element does not.

The second disadvantage is that the glass tube “Halogen” is certainly more fragile than the steel heating element and requires more care. In case of a hard blow or dropping the lid of an aerogrill, the probability of damage will be higher for the “halogen” than for a steel element.
