Boycott the wet rag or how to clean the monitor, computer and other equipment in the house?

In our homes every year there are more and more diverse equipment: each member of the family already has his own personal computer, in each room there is a separate TV, husbands with enviable regularity buy new tablets and smart phones, and wives organize home theaters with media players, DVD-players and five-piece speakers, to watch movies by all the rules.

Computers and peripherals

All this technology certainly makes our lives easier, but it does require special care. As we know, machines attract much more dust because of the static electricity, and on a dark surface and most often these machines are black dust and dirt are especially noticeable. As a result of technological progress has brought into our homes a lot of large and small devices, which need to be regularly cleaned, so as not to damage them at the same time.

Of course everybody knows about wipes for cleaning monitors and different peripherals. In offices together with office supplies the employees receive tubes with such wipes, which are usually used for wiping the screen, mouse and the space between the buttons of the keyboard. But conscientious cleaners wipe system units and office equipment with a wet rag, although it should not be done categorically.

At home we repeat the same mistakes – we wipe only small devices with tissues, and we ruthlessly wipe the rest with a completely inappropriate for such purposes wet rag. As a result in just half an hour our equipment is covered with a layer of dust again, on the monitor there are ugly stains, which are especially visible in daylight, on the glossy surfaces there are fingerprints, and in general our house does not look clean and tidy.

The root of these problems is that we don’t really think about it: if there is so much variety in appliances, there must be all sorts of specialized care products. It would be strange to think that a big plasma screen and a small, unpretentious mouse should be taken care of in the same way?

That is why technique manufacturers offer their users a wide range of cleaners – both universal for all types of surfaces and separately for every technique: sprays, wipes, compressed air sprayers, special lint-free sponges – there is a lot to choose from.

To consider the types of cleaners in more detail, let’s get acquainted with the range of some well-known brand. Let it be Defender – this brand is known for its democratic prices.

Computers and peripherals

Defender’s line of cleaning products includes a variety of sprays and wipes – wet, dry, and combination. In order to quickly and easily clean the screens of monitors and TVs, the universal cleaning wipes for all types of monitors Defender ECO CLN 30202 are suitable. These wipes do not leave streaks and prevent the formation of static electricity, so the dust will not be attracted to the surface of the screen.

Such wipes do not contain abrasive substances, so you can safely use them for cleaning any glass surfaces in the house – windows, shelves, windows windows, because you should agree that it is much easier to wipe glass with wipe than to get a dry cloth which will surely leave lint and detergent. Besides, wipes take up much less space than a container with a window cleaner.

Computers and peripherals

Well, we’ve got the monitors, but what to do with computer cases?? For their cleaning, the Defender 30100 Universal Wipes for Plastic Surfaces will do just fine. They can be used to quickly and easily remove dirt from your mouse, keyboard, printer surface, scanner, and even your desk. Such wipes easily remove even very strong dirt, disinfect and prevent the formation of static. Fans of scented cleaners will like the exact same Defender 30100 wipes, but with a scent of green apple.

If you consider yourself a perfectionist, universal wipes will not be enough, that’s a fact. In this case, you can try the Defender 30600 set of wet and dry wipes. One tube contains both wet and dry wipes, the combination of which lets you get the perfect result when cleaning dust and dirt from monitors, TVs and plasma panels. Wet wipes are specially impregnated with a cleaning solution that fights dirt very effectively. After using a wet wipe it is worth wiping the surface with a dry one as it will remove remains of the solution and will not leave any streaks.

Computers and peripherals

Certainly not all surfaces are easy to clean with wipes: if you wipe, for example, a big plasma panel you will hate it. For such cases, the optimal solution is a universal spray Defender 30593, designed for cleaning and anti-static treatment of TVs, monitors, displays, lenses, and even windows. Included with the spray is a dry microfiber cloth, which together with the product is very effective against dirt and fingerprints. After the use of Defender 30593 spray the surface stays clean and shiny for a long time.

Computers and peripherals

In order to clean the lens of a camera, you need a special tool – and no one can argue with that. Cameras’ optics are very sensitive to the slightest dirt, dust and lint, so ordinary wipes or rags are no good here. For cleaning lenses it is better to use dry lint-free cloths Defender 30604, which, as you can understand from the name, do not leave on the surface of the optics no unwanted microparticles.

Computers and peripherals

And finally we should remember about hard-to-reach surfaces, which you can’t reach with a wipe. Everybody knows how hard it is to clean space between keyboard keys, to remove dust from system unit or to clean films and slides – all those fragile and delicate surfaces which are better not to touch unnecessary. Such manipulations are best carried out with the pneumatic sprayer Defender 30804 which removes dust with a strong jet of air, leaving neither traces, nor scratches, nor stains. Moreover, because the spray can is not flammable, you can use it to clean even quite hot devices.

It is not at all difficult to keep a perfect order at home. The most important thing is to choose an optimal quantity of specialized or universal cleaning products, including those for taking care of technology. Because all these devices were created to bring us joy, but not to add to our workloads and spoil our mood. So it’s time to forget about the obsolete wet rag and use more effective and safe means for technology.
