Bosch SensorSteam: the steam station in a classic iron

Bosch presents the next generation of SensorSteam ironing appliances – the compact steam stations. Conventional irons do not always cope with high volumes of steam because of insufficient steam power and other technical features. For such cases there is an alternative – the steam station, a device of professional level, which helps to quickly and efficiently put things in order by evenly high steam during ironing, not decreasing both in horizontal and vertical position.

But these appliances cost a lot more and take up much more space in the apartment than conventional irons. Bosch offers a revolutionary new solution: The SensorSteam TDS12 is more than just a conventional iron.

Combining the key benefits of steam stations and commercial irons, the new SensorSteam series is a classic iron in form and a steam station in content!

With powerful steam impact – right to the heart of things

The Bosch SensorSteam range offers all the benefits of a steam station in the compact form of a classic iron. Sensationally high power of 3100 watts and evenly high steam output in vertical and horizontal positions. Unique Bosch safety system: steam activation by the touch of a button. Energy saving

The new Bosch SensorSteam iron series differs from conventional irons because it has a pump that gives you a constant and even flow of pressurised steam.

When you activate the pump by pressing the special trigger on the handle, the steam output reaches 65 g/min in both horizontal and vertical position, which a standard iron can’t boast of.

The SensorSteam no longer limits you to the ironing board, for example, you can easily steam curtains or a jacket hanging from a coat rack.

Steam penetrates the fabric up to 45% deeper than a standard steam iron*. So even the hardest creases are smoothed out effortlessly.

One of the SensorSteam’s key contributors to perfect ironing results is its unprecedentedly high power output – max. 3100 W models TDS1216 and TDS1217 .

Such power allows the irons to reach the set temperature in the shortest possible time, provides even more efficient steam production, and literally restores the operating temperature at lightning speed after a heavy steam discharge.

Touch the handle and the energy comes on, release it and it goes off

Bosch is committed to the safety of its customers, and this is why the new high-power SensorSteam range of irons features the tried-and-tested unique Active Control safety system.

Sensor embedded in the handle, reacts to your touch, so the iron switches on and starts working the moment you pick it up. The SensorSteam will automatically switch off when you get distracted, you need to answer the phone or go to the kitchen to make tea. No need to worry about leaving the appliance plugged in.

What’s more, the touch sensitive Active Control technology saves energy, because the iron switches off as soon as you stop holding it, i.e. when you have finished your chores. The SensorSteam appliance doesn’t waste your money by heating up, it helps to save the environment.

Those who are even more mindful of energy efficiency can always get an extra helping of Eco Mode, which is available in all three models of the SensorSteam.

Most of the iron’s energy is spent on steam production, which is reduced to a minimum in Eco Mode. So it avoids unnecessary use of energy in places where it is not needed.
