comfortable to use: compact and ergonomic design, 24% “lighter” than its predecessors. versatile and powerful: suitable for all types of work – drilling, drilling with impact and screw driving. Durable and safe: electronic security system of cells BOSCH ECP, lithium-ion battery without “memory effect” and self-discharge.
Compact, versatile, powerful
Bosch introduces two new drill models developed with intelligent lithium-ion technology: the PSB 1440 LI-2 and the PSB 1800 LI-2.
These power tools are part of the new generation of Bosch, combining innovative technology with ease of use and affordability. The PSB 1440 LI-2 and PSB 1800 LI-2 are the perfect companions for all DIY projects.
The combination of versatility, compactness and power is the key feature that Bosch has achieved with its new tools. The PSB 1440 LI-2 and the PSB 1800 LI-2 in particular:
– compact design for increased tool control
– ergonomic handle for comfortable grip
– durable and reliable lithium-ion batteries
– versatile: the tools are suitable for drilling, drilling with impact for work in masonry or stone and for screwing any screw thanks to the wide range of torque settings 20 + 1
– more power: up to 300 screws on a single charge.
Safety and durability: BOSCH ECP
Thanks to the advantages of lithium-ion, the PSB 1440 LI-2 and PSB 1800 LI-2 are protected from the three major hazards of power tools. Bosch Electronic Cell Protection, the electronic cell protection system, protects reliably against
– overheating: The electronic system automatically shuts down the tool so that it is not damaged
– overload: the tool automatically stops working in case of battery overload
– Deep discharge: the Bosch ECP system prevents the battery from being deeply discharged, thereby protecting it from irreparable damage.
Both models have no memory effect and no self-discharge.
PSB 1440 LI-2 vs PSB 1800 LI-2
The main difference between the two products from Bosch is the battery used in each. The PSB 1440 LI-2 is in the 14,4 V range, whereas the PSB 1800 LI-2 is in the 18 V range. The first model is slightly lighter weight 1.2 kg vs. 1.3 kg and the second model is more powerful maximum torque 19 vs. 16 for hard surfaces and 38 vs. 34 for soft surfaces .
However, both models have the same number of torque settings 20 + 1 , soft pads, the same number of idle speeds 400 at first speed and 1350 at second , and are equipped with the Power Light.
