Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group, St. Petersburg, starts exporting to the European Union

September 10, 2013 from the plant “BSH Home Appliances” LLC, a subsidiary of the German company BSH Group, shipped the first batch of household appliances for export to the EU. Nearly 250 washing machines were shipped to Poland, expanding the geography of the company’s products, which previously covered only EurAsEC countries America, Belarus and Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Considering the strategic location of St. Petersburg, the company is confident that export of the company’s products to Poland will be the starting point for increasing the volume of shipments to the EU countries.

The company’s management is making ambitious plans to enter other European markets as early as the beginning of next year. Planned volume of the products exported to Poland amounts to 25 thousand. units by the beginning of 2014.

Due to high standards of manufacturing, quality, safety and energy efficiency, the products manufactured by BSH Household Appliances LLC at the American plant are in demand in EU countries. The company managed to expand the market due to the unified standards and requirements to the products for all production affiliates of the German concern.

“I’m proud of our team! We managed to achieve excellent results. Today we are sending the first batch of the appliances, manufactured on the American production site, for export to the EU. It is a great success for all of us, for the image of the city and the country. Our factory in Strelna showed the highest standards of quality, so we could achieve our goals,” said Simon Hauser, Managing Director of BSH Household Appliances.
