Beko plant in America celebrates its 10-year jubilee

Beko” plant, which is located in Kirzhach, Vladimir region, celebrated its 10th anniversary on 24th of September. During the past time the production of the company has reached almost a million pieces per year. The factory produces two product categories: washing machines and refrigerators. The company provides jobs for major part of able-bodied citizens on a continuous basis. Uninterrupted operation for 10 years, the plant has made a significant contribution to the economic success of the region. Almost 1,500 people are currently employed there.

Beko” home appliances first appeared on the shelves of American stores in 1997. Almost since its arrival on the domestic market, the company is among the top five in the production and sales of large appliances for home and is constantly increasing sales volumes.

Since 2005, the construction of our own plant in Kirzhach, Vladimir region, began. Officially opened in 2006. All production is located on the area of more than 550 000 m2. More than 90 million euros was originally invested in the plant. The factory has the most modern and innovative equipment, which allows to assemble products with extremely low percentage of defects.

Since its opening in 2006, the factory has been a very important part of the region where Beko is located. With full confidence and without exaggeration, the plant can be called a town-forming enterprise for the town of Kirzhach. With its help it was possible to provide the residents of the Vladimir region with a large number of high-paying jobs. Beko factory is also a socially responsible enterprise and takes an active part in the life of the city, supporting local schools and orphanages. This way, the brand makes a significant contribution to the economic efficiency of the region.

Production at the plant is working intensively. Thus, only during the first 6 years of its existence 1,000,000th refrigerator rolled off the assembly line. The company’s main priority is to produce high-tech products that make life easier and are completely safe for the environment.

We use only those developments that can fundamentally change the everyday life of our customers and make it more convenient and practical. In the future we are planning to continue producing the most innovative products on the market.

Two product categories are currently produced in America: washing machines and refrigerators. According to 2015 results, the factory produced more than 750,000 units of both categories. The export share reaches 36%, and our products are exported to more than 17 countries, including Germany, Slovenia, Montenegro, Poland and others. Thus, American factory managed to contribute significantly to the worldwide development of Beko, which became the fastest growing brand in the segment of home appliances in Europe during the last 7 years.

Beko provides intelligent solutions in its appliances that help consumers get the most out of their everyday lives. First of all, these solutions are built on efficiency, where the brand appliances help people in their daily activities to save energy, water and time.

At the end of March 2016, Beko launched a new long-term communication platform called “Official Partner in Everyday Life”. For modern families, the kitchen has long been the heart of the home. This campaign is intended to strengthen the position of BEKO as a brand that is truly focused on its customers and that can become an indispensable help in their everyday life. A series of six TV commercials was shown in more than 30 countries of the world. The world’s top soccer stars from the legendary Barcelona Football Club, with whom Beko has a four-year cooperation agreement, participated in the event.
