Three models of Beko refrigerator, an international brand owned by the Arçelik Group, have successfully passed all the tests of the ATLETE project Testing of the Energy Consumption Levels Declared on Product Labels .
This project was initiated by CECED in collaboration with the European Commission to verify the accuracy of energy data on product labels.
Only a few brands, including Beko, have successfully passed the ATLETE certification process and confirmed that the information on all product labels conforms to European energy consumption standards.
The results of the project were announced at the ATLETE conference, which was held on April 12 in Brussels during the week devoted to energy consumption in the European Union.
Within the framework of the project 80 refrigerator and freezer models from more than 40 manufacturers were tested. During testing, the most important product parameters were measured, such as: “power consumption”, “storage temperature” including climate class , “storage volume”, “freezing capacity”, “temperature retention time without electricity”.
Of the 80 models tested, only 58 met the basic requirements of the competition. Thus, 53 percent of the appliances did not meet the 5 main criteria of the test and thus did not meet the current requirements of the European Union, because of the incorrect information on the product labels.
Three models of Beko refrigerators CSA 24002, FSA 21300, TLDA 521 successfully passed all the tests.
Congratulations to BEKO appliances for receiving the Atlete certificate for accurate labels! I’m curious to know what specific measures BEKO has implemented to ensure accurate labeling on their appliances. How does this certification benefit consumers and why is it important for companies to have accurate labels?
