BBK KBH1016 Immersion blender

BBK KBH1016 blender is the little brother of the model

BBK KBH1017

, Which we tested before the new year 2020.

Let’s see what it can do and what is good.

BBK KBH1016

Packaging and equipment

The blender comes in a neat box in its signature black and blue colors. The packaging looks dignified and expensive.

BBK KBH1016 you can buy and immediately give, without changing anything.

Included:

  • immersion blender,
  • whisk,
  • chopper with a lid,
  • Liter jug with lid.

Optimal equipment for daily work.

Competitive advantage: Instead of plastic cup – jug with handle and spout. It is easy to pour from such, it is convenient to carry by the handle, and the volume of 1 liter allows to avoid splashing when whipping liquids.

Construction and ergonomics

Blender

Plastic/stainless steel combination body.

Conveniently holds in your hand, thanks to the thoughtful shape. There is an anti-slip grip on the back.

The power button is wide and easy to push. The skirt is in the recess above the blender for finger holding, so you won’t get tired even if you have to push the button for a couple of minutes.

The base of the one-meter power cord has a loop to hang the blender. But it’s thin, and the blender is quite heavy, so I don’t think you can store it by hanging it on a hook.

A light on top of the blender lights up after you turn it on. It’s a power-on indication, but other than that it’s just a pretty detail.

At the bottom of the blender is a wide button to press when changing attachments.

Steel.

Yellow colored knife with 4 blades: two work on the horizontal, two – on a vertical surface.

“Nozzle skirt is wide and deep with a wavy rim.

This design allows to avoid splashing when working and captures a large amount of food for processing.

Whisk

Made of strong thin steel wire, easily rotates in the plastic base. The plastic is sturdy, strong, no extraneous smell.

Chopper

Plastic bowl with a graphical maximum volume indicator.

The base has 4 notches that also show how much food you can put in the chopper.

Sharp S-shaped blade of rugged steel grips the food around the whole volume of the bowl.

The top of the bowl closes with plastic lid. No need to screw it in – just insert it into the bowl, and turn just a little bit until it clicks – the chopper is ready to work.

There is a removable rubber strip on the bottom of the bowl that keeps the grinder firmly on the table during use.

Jug

Plastic.

The maximum net volume is 1 liter.

Wide spout allows you to pour thick mixtures without losing a drop. It is convenient to hold by the wide handle. There is a lid.

The only disadvantage – it is designed only for cold mixes.

Assembly and disassembly

Nozzles are attached to the blender is very easy: you just put them on the body with a certain side. A click is heard, and you’re done. You don’t have to twist or turn anything.

Simply press button on chopper body to remove chopper attachment and you are ready to use. The same way the blender is installed on the shredder jug.

Tested

Put my blender away, put the BBK KBH1016 in the kitchen.

My family used it for 2 weeks.

Cooked: pancake batter, pesto sauce, mashed fresh apples, banana-blackberry smoothie, cottage cheese casserole batter, gazpacho.

The most difficult task was preparing gazpacho, primarily because of the portion size cooked for 4 people .

Separately, I chopped sweet pepper, cucumbers, onion, garlic, peeled tomatoes in chopper.

I mixed everything in a big pot, added lemon juice, salt, pepper and worked with the immersion blender. Soup came out!

All products were evenly chopped, the favorite summer soup pleased the sultry day.

The specifications do not specify the time of one cycle without interruption. During the test, it stood for a couple of minutes of operation. That wasn’t all I needed. The blender never turned off, sometimes the body was warm.
