ASUS introduced a new series of smartphones ZenFone 5 at the international exhibition MWC 2018

On February 27, 2018, at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen introduced the brand new ZenFone 5 series of smartphones to the public. The models of the new series gained elements of artificial intelligence, a huge screen and flagship dual cameras

The new lineup includes the ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone 5, high-performance 6.2-inch smartphones equipped with dual cameras and endowed with artificial intelligence for the first time. Both models have huge displays the relative area of the screen is 90% , placed in the cases, the size of the corresponding 5.5-inch devices. The ZenFone 5Z smartphone, with a starting price of just €479, features the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and the Qualcomm AI platform AIE . It’s endowed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of user memory in the maximum package. The model features the highest performance combined with advanced artificial intelligence technology. The ZenFone 5 smartphone is the first in the world to use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile platform.

ZenFone 5 Lite is a stylish 6-inch smartphone with a unique system of 4 cameras, including a high-resolution camera and wide-angle lenses 120° on both the rear and front panels.

In addition to the ZenFone 5-series smartphones presented on stage, the new ZenFone Max M1 smartphone and the ASUS NovaGo laptop were also demonstrated to the general public in the demo area.

ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone 5

ZenFone 5Z is a next-generation smartphone with dual cameras and a magnificent 6.2-inch screen, which occupies 90% of the surface of the device. At the same time the size of the case itself is not more than the size of conventional 5.5-inch devices. This is the first model of ZenFone series, built on the latest Snapdragon 845 Mobile processor with 3rd generation AIE platform, which includes Hexagon 685 Vector DSP, Adreno 630 graphics core, Kryo 385 processing unit and Snapdragon X20 Gigabit LTE modem, thanks to which the LTE connection speed can exceed the 1 Gbit/s mark and is comparable with the wire Internet speed.
