ASUS innovation: company CEO Johnny Shea gave a presentation at CES 2014 in search of the incredible

At the CES 2014 presentation, ASUS CEO Johnny Shea presented innovative products in the spirit of the new corporate slogan “In Search of Incredible. The presentation began with ASUS ZenFone, a line of feature-rich smartphones with screen sizes from 4 to 6 inches.

Next up were the Transformer Book Duet TD 300 , the world’s first notebook tablet with two operating systems and four modes, the PadFone mini, a 4-inch smartphone that easily converts to a 7-inch tablet, and the ROG Swift PG278Q, a stunning Republic of Gamers ROG series gaming monitor. Not to be overlooked is ZenUI, the exclusive ASUS user interface, which debuts in PadFone mini and ZenFone.

In his address to the audience, Johnny Shea noted that ASUS prioritizes innovation: “We strive to create digital devices that make people happier. We’re always looking for out-of-the-box ideas to make an impact in everything we do.

Intel president Renee James, who participated in the presentation, said: “We are pleased to be a partner with ASUS in introducing a range of new mobile devices. Our collaboration goes back to motherboards, and today covers notebooks, hybrids, tablets and more. The Transformer Book Duet, PadFone mini and ZenFone will be a new chapter in our shared history of bringing great technology to market.

ZenFone and PadFone mini – incredible connectivity

ZenFone is the new line of ASUS smartphones, which includes devices with screen diagonal from 4 to 6 inches in different colors.

ZenFone 4 has a gorgeous 4-inch display and a powerful dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor 1.2GHz with Intel Hyper-Threading technology, which enables parallel processing of two instruction threads by one core simultaneously. Two built-in cameras, light weight only 115g and five vibrant color options make ZenFone 4 a great choice for active people.

ZenFone 5 is equipped with the same dual-core Intel processor, as well as a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution 1280×720 and an 8-megapixel primary camera with PixelMaster technology. It also features GloveTouch and PenTouch technologies that increase display sensitivity and allow you to control the device without removing your gloves or using a stylus.

ZenFone 6 also offers HD display, but with six inches diagonal. Like ZenFone 5, display supports GloveTouch and PenTouch technologies. ZenFone 6 is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera with PixelMaster technology. ZenFone 5 and 6 models are available in four colors.

Tablets

All ZenFone models are the perfect way to communicate – just like the new PadFone mini. The latest member of the popular line of ASUS PadFone, PadFone mini is a beautiful 4-inch smartphone, which by installing it in the dock quickly and easily turns into a 7-inch tablet.

PadFone mini is equipped with the powerful dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with Hyper-Threading technology and 8 GB of internal memory. The device supports micro-SD memory cards up to 64 gigabytes and two SIM-cards, which can be used both for simultaneous operation with two phone numbers, and to create separate lines for telephony and data transmission.

ZenFone and PadFone mini comes with ZenUI, a new exclusive ASUS smartphone user interface. Featuring icons and menus in a sleek style, five color themes to match the color palette of the devices, and What’s Next to keep you updated throughout the day. ZenUI includes enhanced social networking support with Omlet Chat, powered by the Omlet Open Messaging Platform. With Omlet Chat, users can share a variety of content – text, photos, videos, and audio files – anytime, with anyone, on any smartphone.

Transformer Book Duet – Two operating systems in one device

ASUS Transformer Book Duet TD 300 is the world’s first notebook-transformer with the ability to switch between Windows and Android operating systems in both notebook and tablet modes. Switch in as little as four seconds with a flick of a keyboard or virtual button.
