A press presentation was held at the ongoing IFA 2015 exhibition in Berlin, where the head of Asus
Johnny Shea presented the latest innovations in computer technology, mobile gadgets and wearable electronics. These include the world’s fastest router RT-AC5300, an ultra miniature Windows 10 PC in flash drive format – VivoStick PC, the “smart” watch ZenWatch 2, the modern line of ZenFone, including ZenFone Zoom, the latest ZenPad and Zen AiO models presented for the first time in Europe.
New products in the Zen family of devices and gaming innovations from Republic of Gamers

Also speaking at the presentation was Kirk Skaugen, senior vice president of Intel Corporation, who noted that the new products are the result of a successful collaboration between the two companies: “ASUS and Intel have been working together for almost three decades to bring the latest technology to consumers. Intel development is the key to high performance, usability, long battery life and compactness of Asus devices”.
The press conference also featured the latest additions to the Asus Republic of Gamers ROG gaming lineup, including the G752 Series gaming notebook, ROG Maximus VIII Extreme/Assembly motherboard, ROG Matrix 980Ti graphics card, ROG Swift PG348Q monitor, ROG 7 headset.1 and ROG G20 Special Edition gaming PCs. We also had a chance to see the ROG Swift PG279Q 165Hz monitor. At the end the head of Asus pulled the curtain on the GX700, the world’s first gaming notebook with water cooling.
ZenWatch 2: Tradition and Innovation
Developed in partnership with Google, ZenWatch 2 runs Android Wear and can be used with Android and iOS smartphones, expanding their functionality. The display shows incoming calls, messages, notifications and more, so you can check what’s going on without taking your smartphone out of your pocket or purse.
ZenWatch 2 combines a dual watch case two sizes, three colors , strap 18 combinations of materials and colors and watch face 50 standard watch faces can be personalized with FaceDesigner to highlight your individual style.
ZenWatch 2 differs from the first model with an improved design, updated software and additional functionality. The bezel now features a crown-shaped metal button to use as a control and a brand new magnetic charger to speed up charging in as little as 36 minutes, bringing the battery level to 50%.
ZenPad: High performance and sophisticated style
ZenPad S 8.ZenPad S 8″ Z580CA is an 8″ Android tablet, equipped with Intel Atom Z2580 processor and 4GB RAM, the most capacity in its segment. It has a bright and clear IPS-display format QXGA with technology Asus Tru2Life + and a pixel density of 324 pixels per inch. ZenPad S 8.0 supports the optional Z Stylus pen and DTS-HD Premium Sound audio technology.
ZenPad 8.0 Z380C also supports DTS-HD Premium Sound but can also be used in combination with the original Audio Cover, which features 6 speakers for 5.1. The case is also part of ZenPad Theater, a ZenPad 8-powered multimedia suite.0.
ZenPad 10 Z300 combines stylish design with great multimedia features and high performance. This tablet is available in three versions: with LTE/Wi-Fi Z300CL , 3G/Wi-Fi Z300CG and Wi-Fi Z300C .
Among the accessories offered for ZenPad 10 is the Asus Audio Dock keyboard dock with Bluetooth speakers. This model also supports the optional Z Stylus pen.
Zen AiO S: Ultra-HD all-in-one PC
Zen AiO S is a family of high-end all-in-one PCs with the Windows 10 operating system. With a slim and sleek design, it delivers the kind of performance demanded by home users and professionals alike.
The technical equipment Zen AiO S includes a high-quality display, up to IPS-display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, 178-degree viewing angles and a pixel density of 185 pixels per inch, and a built-in audio system Asus SonicMaster Premium complements the colorful image with a powerful 16-watt sound.

RT-AC5300: the fastest wireless router
With Broadcom NitroQAM technology, the RT-AC5300 can transmit on the 2.4GHz band at up to 1000Mbps and on two channels on the 5GHz band at up to 2167Mbps. Thus, the total bandwidth of the router in Wi-Fi networks is 5334 Mbps. Fast enough for everything from Ultra-HD video streaming to online gaming.
With eight powerful external antennas in 4×4 configuration, the RT-AC5300 gives you wireless coverage up to 500 square meters. AiRadar “beamforming” technology also helps ensure smooth radio transmission.
New router includes many innovations to improve performance, usability and stability. With Tri-Band Smart Connect that automatically routes client devices among the three supported channels, and MU-MIMO that allows multiple clients to connect at the maximum speed of the router. VivoStick PC: A mini PC
The ASUS VivoStick PC is a tiny Windows 10 computer that looks like a felt-tip pen and has an HDMI connector in the cap. By connecting it to any HDMI-compatible TV or monitor, you get a fully functional PC. It also comes with a handy app from Asus for remote controlling it from your mobile device.
The VivoStick PC measures just 137.9 x 34.0 x 14.9 mm and weighs 68g. At the same time, it is equipped with wireless Wi-Fi 802.11n, two USB ports, audio output and Bluetooth 4.0 for keyboard and mouse . The system memory of the device has a capacity of 2 GB.
ZenFone Zoom: The thinnest smartphone with triple optical zoom
The main feature of the smartphone ZenFone Zoom is a 13-megapixel camera with a 10-element lens that supports three times optical and twelve times digital zoom. The camera uses Panasonic’s SmartSFI sensor, optical image stabilization and laser autofocus.
With a 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3590 processor and 4GB of RAM, the ZenFone Zoom boasts high performance in a compact metal housing with a minimum thickness of 5mm.
For “advanced” users, the smartphone offers a manual photography mode, where you can adjust many different image parameters yourself.
