Assassin II cooler: cooling in the form of shark’s teeth

DeepCool introduces Assassin II cooler for the latest and most powerful Intel and AMD processors. Continuing the tradition of the previous Assassin, the design of the two massive aluminum towers has been redesigned asymmetrically and the fan blades can now spin at ultra-low RPM. DeepCool Assassin II uncompromising design – manufacturer paid full attention to details. The basis of the cooler is a brightly polished nickel-plated copper plate from which eight nickel heat pipes rise. They are combined with two asymmetrical tower radiators with shark’s teeth edges. Each of these components is designed to let in maximum airflow for efficient heat dissipation.

Assassin II cooler uses two fans, one 120mm on the outside, one 140mm between the two towers. The second fan is the developers’ pride of place. GF140 is equipped with a reliable hydrodynamic bearing with a lifetime of more than 100 thousand hours, the plastic case is covered by anti-vibration material, and the design of the blades promotes the centralization of the air flow. The fan can be dismantled for cleaning or can be fitted with blades of different color. Cooling system is fully sealed against oil, water and dust leaks.

Modern processors can reduce their speed for less demanding tasks. Maximum cooler performance is not required in this mode. DeepCool Assassin II has a revolution regulator that slows down the rotation up to 300 rpm for silent operation.

Thanks to the interchangeable fasteners the cooler is compatible with all Intel and AMD processors. The package includes Intel LGA2011-v3, LGA2011, LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA1150, LGA775 and AMD FM2+, FM2, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2.

New case will be on sale this spring. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 6000 Dollars.

The Assassin II cooler sounds intriguing with its unique cooling design inspired by shark’s teeth. I’d love to know how effective this design is in cooling compared to traditional cooling systems. Does the shark’s teeth design significantly enhance airflow and heat dissipation, resulting in better cooling performance and lower temperatures? Additionally, is there any specific advantage or added functionality in this cooler that makes it a standout choice for gamers or overclockers?
