ARCHOS introduces Citee Connect, the first Google Android scooter designed and assembled in France

New York, February 20, 2018.- ARCHOS company, a European manufacturer of mobile devices and “smart” gadgets, which presented a whole range of city transportation means at the market since January of the last year, today presents three brand new models. ARCHOS Citee Connect, the first scooter on Google Android, was entirely, from the idea to its realization, created in France. The model will please city dwellers for whom staying connected at all times is important.

Google Android powered scooter from ARCHOS

Also on display at MWC 2018 Hall 6 – Booth B60 are the ARCHOS Citee and ARCHOS Citee Power scooters. They will help their future owners to optimize movement around the city thanks to interesting and reliable solutions. The last two models will be on sale in April 2018, priced from &euro 399.99, and sales of the ARCHOS Citee Connect will begin this summer – this model will cost from &euro 499,99.

The first electric scooter with Internet access

Designed and assembled in France, the ARCHOS Citee Connect is the first scooter to run on the Google Android operating system. It is equipped with a full multimedia control panel with a large high-definition touch screen, which has all the functions of a smartphone. The system is based on a quad-core processor, with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash memory, as well as Google’s Android 8 Oreo OS. The five-inch display, protected against shocks and precipitation, shows speed, distance traveled and battery level, while the 3G network connection gives the user access to numerous apps and services during the ride.

Unprecedented usability

ARCHOS Citee Connect features ergonomic handles and large wheels 8.5 inches with puncture protection and treads for a soft ride. 250-watt motor and 36-volt battery provide more than 25 kilometers of urban mileage. Battery life can be increased by 15% thanks to energy recovery system that automatically charges the battery every time you brake. The scooter can also be conveniently charged via an optional docking station.

Sharing

The scooter is complete with a lock built into the chassis, controlled through an app installed on the control panel. Thanks to this ARCHOS Citee Connect can be safely parked anywhere in the city. What’s more, a special app on your smartphone will allow you to remotely access the scooter.

French project

To ensure a high level of quality and conformity with European traffic, and to meet the wishes of cities that plan to create an electric scooter rental system, ARCHOS decided to produce the Citee Connect in France.

ARCHOS Citee

ARCHOS Citee electric scooter is made of aluminum for maximum lightness and stability. It is equipped with large wheels for greater comfort on the road. The scooter is easy to control thanks to three speed modes, and it can reach a top speed of 22-25 km/h. The ARCHOS Citee guarantees an excellent level of safety, it is equipped with a brake on the rear wheel and has reflective strips on the sides. Acceleration and deceleration are controlled by the handles. Scooter quickly and easily folds with a special latch and weighs less than 12 kg. Its display shows speed and battery level. The weight of the passenger can be up to 100 kg.

ARCHOS Citee Power

Electric scooter ARCHOS Citee Power can move on any road, including the steepest climbs and descents, thanks to the large 8.5-inch wheels. The model fits into the city traffic and provides a comfortable ride in two speed modes. The scooter reaches the maximum speed of 25 km/h and can cover the distance from 18 to 22 km at such speed. It has a non-slip footrest, disc brakes, headlight, rear brake light and a bell, so the user can be warned of his approaching. Sturdy, built around a high-quality aluminum frame, it folds up easily and is easy to carry by the handle. LED display shows speed and battery level.

The ARCHOS Citee and ARCHOS Citee Power scooters are being presented for the first time at MWC 2018 Hall 6 – Booth B60 and will be available in April 2018 at prices from &euro 399,99. ARCHOS Citee Connect sales will start in summer 2018 at a price from &euro 499,99.
