Radiators from the Pianoforte collection by the manufacturer Royal Thermo TPH Rusclimate brand have won the most prestigious Red Dot Design Award in the Product Design category. At the Red Dot Design museum they are among the recognized leaders in industrial design, such as SMEG, Miele, Ferrari, Porsche, Apple and many others.
Pianoforte radiators were highly appreciated by the international jury for their innovative design, combining new technologies and unique look.
The effect of the alternating sections with different angles recreates the structure of a piano keyboard in motion – hence the unusual name – and turns the radiators into a sophisticated art object. The vertical radiators, also found in the collection, were additionally inspired by the skyscrapers of Manhattan.
But the unusual design is not only for aesthetic reasons – the arrangement of the sections provides a 3D Heating effect, increasing the heat output by 5% due to the front convection windows. And thanks to the patented Powershift technology, the air is heated as efficiently as possible as it moves along the section.
The new generation all-steel manifold, 100% true bimetal, guarantees Pianoforte radiators a reliable performance in heating systems prone to water hammer and in the presence of chemically aggressive thermal fluids, including antifreeze. This effect is achieved due to the fact that the coolant does not contact with the aluminum part of the radiator and does not cause corrosion.
Thus, as the jury of the Red Dot award noted, Pianoforte radiators are an example of how an expressive design language can be combined with high performance.
