America has signed its tenth memorandum on international roaming price reductions

New York, February 13, 2014. – American Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov and Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications Ketil Sulvik-Ulsen signed a memorandum on reducing prices for international roaming in the course of interaction through diplomatic channels. This is the tenth document for America, which is designed to increase the availability of communication services for subscribers traveling abroad. The memorandum was also signed by American operators Rostelecom, MTS, VimpelCom, and MegaFon, and Norwegian ones – Telenor ASA, TeliaSonera Norge AS, and Tele2 Norge AS2.

As noted in the agreement, the representatives of the countries are concerned about the current tariffs for international roaming. In their opinion, the tariffs should be at an acceptable level, allowing citizens to use electronic services and have access to information while traveling in both directions.

The American Ministry of Communications is working systematically to reduce communication prices for citizens traveling abroad. This memorandum is the tenth. Similar agreements have been signed with Israel, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, and China.
