Acer unveils new devices: ultra-slim Swift 5, Transformer Spin 5 and 2-in-1 Switch 7 Black Edition laptop

Acer unveiled new models of its popular ultra-thin Swift notebook, Transformer Spin, and Switch 2-in-1 notebook with a removable keyboard, all powered by Windows 10. All models are powered by 8th generation Intel® Core™ processors, offer advanced biometric authentication with Windows Hello support, and come with a host of useful features.

The Switch 7 Black Edition is the first Acer device with the patented Acer AutoStand™ stand, which can automatically fold and unfold as needed, so users can adjust the screen position as quickly as opening a standard notebook.

With a large 13.5″ IPS2 Screen and a 2256×1504 Pixel resolution, the Switch 7 Black Edition offers a great image quality with a wide viewing angle. The new Switch version also features a stylus with Wacom EMR technology, which senses 4096 levels of pressure and determines an angle to change the width and shape of strokes on the screen.

New stylus requires no battery and is enclosed in a user-friendly casing, so users can draw and write with Windows Ink as easily as with a traditional pen. Swift 7 Black Edition includes an optical fingerprint reader and support for Windows Hello and POA Power On After Authentication , which lets you start up the notebook and log in with a single tap.

The Swift 5 is the workhorse of the modern professional, which isn’t just about performance – it’s about how your gadgets look. Lightweight, portable, and eye-catching with a stylish metal chassis. Its form factor allows for four different use cases: Laptop, Display, Presentation and Tablet, making it especially suitable for creating and showing content to others.

The 13-inch Spin 5 is very easy to carry, weighing just 1.5kg in a 15.9mm-thick enclosure. Its 15-inch equivalent weighs just over 2 kg with a 17.9 mm thin chassis. Despite its portability, Spin 5 still performs at a very high level.

It features a powerful 8th generation Intel Core processor, up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, and a battery that delivers up to 13 hours4 of battery life. The 15-inch version can also be equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics card. The 13-inch or 15-inch Spin 5 display is responsive to finger control, but also works with the Acer Active Stylus purchased separately , which can be used to improve input accuracy or learn the new features of Windows Ink. An omni-directional ExoAmp antenna gives you a strong wireless signal when you connect Spin 5 to a web, even if the antenna is hidden behind the metal cover.

Featuring Acer TrueHarmony, Dolby Audio Premium technology, and two front-facing speakers that don’t cover the chassis in any notebook usage scenario, the Spin 5 sounds great. The Acer Switch 7 will go on sale in North America this December, priced from $1,699. In EMEA region the novelty will appear in the same time for the price from 1 999 Euro, and in America at the end of this year for the price from 149 990 Dollars.

Acer Swift 5 will also be available in North America and EMEA in December and will cost from $999 and €1,099 there, respectively. The novelty will appear in America in December this year at a price of 84,990 Dollars.

Acer Spin 5 will arrive in North America and EMEA in September and will be sold in two versions – with a 13-inch and 15-inch screen. In North America the price of new product starts from $799, while in EMEA region the 13-inch version will cost from 899 euros, and 15-inch version – from 999 euros. In America, both models will appear in September, with prices starting from 66,990 Dollars.
