Acer unveiled its first ultraportable Chromebook based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c platform with 4G LTE support

Acer unveiled its first Chromebook based on Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 7c computing platform, the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 CP513-1H/CP513-1HL and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 513. New models ultraportable design combines with high performance, long battery life and 4G LTE connectivity for permanent connection to the network.

Mobility, performance, connectivity

The Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is powered by the Snapdragon™ 7c computing platform with the 8nm octa-core Qualcomm® Kryo™ 468 processor that delivers enhanced multitasking and instant responsiveness. On top of that, the built-in Qualcomm® Adreno™ 618 graphics lets you enjoy high quality online gaming and video streaming. The new Chromebook can operate on a single charge up to 141 hours, that is, a whole day of work or study.

Also it can be equipped with 4G LTE module for permanent Internet connection. It ensures users retain access to their personal cloud, apps, extensions and more to focus on work, study and hobbies, even in places without available Wi-Fi.

Ultraportable and versatile

Slim and ultraportable design makes the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 a joy to use. Meanwhile, the device features a durable and stylish aluminum top cover, and its screen and touchpad are protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass for scratch and damage resistance. Narrow bezel design with 78% body-to-display ratio to keep the user’s full attention on the 13.3″ Full HD IPS1 touchscreen.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 513 weighs less than 1.2kg and measures only 15.55mm thin, and it’s barely the size of a piece of paper. It’s also available with a backlit keyboard for the ultimate gaming experience in all lighting conditions.

A pair of 360-degree rotation mounts lets you slide the Chromebook into one of four positions: clamshell mode for traditional keyboard input, tablet, screen and tent mode for presentations or working in confined spaces. In addition, two built-in microphones ensure excellent sound quality and clarity during video conferencing, using Google Assistant or chatting with friends on Google Meet.

Wired and wireless connectivity

Wireless Wi-Fi module 802.11ac with 2×2 MIMO technology and 4G LTE capability to stay in touch at home, in the office or on the road. The Chromebook is equipped with two full-featured USB Type-C™ ports supporting USB 3.2 Gen 1 up to 5 Gbps , DisplayPort connectivity via USB-C, and USB charging. The compact Acer Chromebox CXI4 is a great choice for school labs and classrooms, family use and small businesses. It provides access to information and assistance in areas related to customer service, and can even be used as the base for information kiosks or digital signage. The new Chromebox is also available with Chrome Enterprise Upgrade, which gives your employees the business features they need to stay productive.

The device’s simple, compact design saves space but includes everything you need to use the Chrome ecosystem effectively. Chromebox CXI4 features a 10th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor and ports for connecting multiple screens, peripherals and other accessories, including up to five USB 3 ports.2 Gen 2, USB 3 port.2 Type-C and two HDMI ports. It’s also equipped with Intel Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter 802.0 wireless .11ax and an RJ45 network port for fast wired or wireless Internet connectivity.

Installing the Chromebox CXI4 is easy: attach it to the back of your monitor using the VESA mounting kit purchased separately or place it separately and secure it with the Kensington lock.

Stylish “smart” speaker Halo will fill your home with music and information

The new “smart” speaker Halo is a stylish and versatile device, which is able to blend into any interior thanks to its modern design. Compact size lets you fit it almost anywhere, even on a cluttered desk or kitchen counter. RGB lighting on the base of the speaker gives you additional customization options, such as synchronization with the rhythm of music to create the right atmosphere, or changing the color scheme depending on the time of day. Halo is one of the first smart speakers with Google Assistant and DTS sound™ support. The novelty provides a rich, high-quality sound that spans 360 degrees and literally fills the room.

Optional LED display will allow users to see the time or weather forecast. Also in development is an app that will give you the ability to display a simple image or message on this screen. Google Assistant support lets you launch the assistant with a simple “Okay, Google” command to turn on music, podcasts, news, get your questions answered, and activate other system functions. Price and affordability

Acer Chromebook Spin 513 CP513-1H will be available EMEA in January 2021 with price starting from 429 euros.

Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 513 will be available in EMEA in February 2021, priced from €699.

Acer Chromebox CXI4 will launch in EMEA in the first quarter of 2021 at a price of 569 euros.

Acer Chromebox Enterprise CXI4 will go on sale in EMEA in the first quarter of 2021 at a price starting at €639.
