Nitro 5: Built to Dominate

The updated Acer Nitro 5 lets users enjoy their favorite games with exceptional detail thanks to a 17.3″ or 15.6″ Full HD IPS4 display with slim bezel and impressive 80% screen to chassis ratio.

Ninth-generation Intel® Core™ processor, the latest NVIDIA® GPUs, two PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe SSDs in RAID 0, and up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM ensure superb gaming performance while a Gigabit 5GHz Wi-Fi module with 2×2 MU-MIMO technology keeps gamers connected. Users can also connect additional devices thanks to a variety of ports, including HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 and more.

The Nitro 7 and Nitro 5 are equipped with dual fans, and the Acer CoolBoost™ technology ensures efficient cooling during long gaming sessions. CoolBoost™ increases fan speed by ten percent and CPU and GPU cooling by nine percent over auto mode.

Hot Key Control with NitroSense app

Users can configure various settings for Nitro 7 and Nitro 5 with NitroSense, a one-touch hotkey app. NitroSense shows component temperatures, performance, load, power consumption data and more. The app also lets you monitor and adjust fan speeds in real time, for example, to maximize fan speed for maximum cooling. Additionally, gamers can customize the power management scheme for optimal power consumption in different environments, or access six different Acer TrueHarmony™ sound modes, enable or disable key stick mode and activate LCD acceleration to reduce screen response time to 3ms.

Prioritize your game with Acer’s Killer™ Ethernet and Network Optimizer

Nitro 7 and Nitro 5 use the Killer™ Ethernet E2500 controller or Network Optimizer to bring gaming to the forefront. Gamers no longer need to worry about video freezes, as overall performance increases by 25 percent with a single app and by more than 10x when multi-tasking. Ethernet controller automatically detects game, video and chat streams and prioritizes bandwidth.

When you select automatic mode, Network Optimizer classifies high demand programs to significantly reduce connectivity issues. In addition, users can manually prioritize programs, change bandwidth allocation for each application, or even block them in order to customize their connection and achieve optimal performance.

Great sound in Nitro notebooks

The new Nitro 7 and upgraded Nitro 5 feature high quality audio and are capable of delivering the most versatile gaming experience thanks to Waves’ advanced MaxxAudio® sound optimization technology. MaxxBass® intelligently enhances tones and generates loud, low-frequency sound that users can hear and feel even when using small speakers or a headset. MaxxDialog™ is an intelligent speech booster that helps separate game dialogue from music and sound effects. MaxxVolume® also delivers maximum volume and clarity without distortion, and amplifies even the subtlest sounds in every game.
