Predator Triton 500 with high performance and cooling

The Predator Triton 500 is ready for any challenge with the latest 10th generation IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ processors for todayā€™s high-performance notebooks and support for NVIDIAĀ® GeForce RTX 2080 SUPERā„¢ or 2070 SUPER graphics cards with Max-Q Design technology. It also has long battery life of up to 7.5 hours2, so you can use it for both gaming and work. An IPS panel with unbelievable refresh rate of 300 Hz3 and overclocked response time of just 3ms, delivering smooth frame rates and allowing even the smallest details in the picture thanks to 100% sRGB color coverage and wide viewing angles. And NVIDIA G-SYNCā„¢ technology to help reduce latency and eliminate image tearing.

The Predator Triton 500 is equipped with the Killerā„¢ Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i controller for wireless connectivity and the E3100 network card and Control Center 2 software.0 for network access control, which allows you to assign priority and maximum connection speed for different applications. Despite the powerful components, the notebook boasts a thin chassis only 17.9 mm and weighs 2.1 kg, while the screen to chassis ratio reaches an impressive 81%. The new notebook supports up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and NVMe SSDs up to 2TB in RAID 0 mode.

Vortex Flow: proprietary cooling technology

The Predator Triton 500 also features Acer Vortex Flow technology, a new cooling system with three company-designed fans strategically placed in key areas of the case to maximize component ventilation with minimal noise. The new system also features CoolBoostā„¢ technology, which can increase the maximum fan speed. Users can monitor system temperature and control fans with the proprietary PredatorSense UI software.

Another vital piece of notebook cooling hardware is the 4th generation AeroBladeā„¢ 3D metal fans, with a unique fan design that improves cooling efficiency and lowers noise levels. Jagged edges, winglets, and curved fan blades increase airflow by up to 45%4. The new system also uses five heat pipes, and its overall efficiency is 33% higher than the 2019 version of the Predator Triton 5005.

Acer Nitro 5

The Acer Nitro 5 supports 10th generation IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ i7 processors at 5GHz, GeForce RTX 2060 and GeForce GTX 1650Ti or 1650 graphics cards, M.2 PCle and hard disk capacity up to 1TB1, as well as up to 32 GB RAM DDR4 in two slots with the possibility of replacing or upgrading memory slots by the user. The 15.6-inch FHD IPS screen in the 2020 version gets notable improvements, including a refresh rate of 144 or 120Hz1 and a response time of 3ms6 for maximum clarity and smooth frame rates, as well as high brightness of 300 nits2 and rich colors thanks to 72% NTSC gamut coverage.

The Acer Nitro 5 features several innovative cooling technologies to prevent overheating even at maximum system load. Two fans and strategically placed vents on the chassis, including four heat sinks, resulted in a 25% increase in cooling efficiency over the 2019 version of the notebook. CoolBoostā„¢ technology builds on this success, boosting fan speeds by up to 10 percent and cooling efficiency of the CPU and graphics cards by up to 9 percent. Also, this yearā€™s version features Intelā€™s first-ever Wi-Fi 6 AX201 networking solutions 802.11ax and Killer Ethernet E2600, which help improve connectivity and data transfer speeds so gamers can enjoy improved performance and cooling system in network gaming.

ā€œThere are plenty of improvements and changes to the Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5 beyond supporting new processors and graphics cards,ā€ said James Lin, manager of notebook and IT products, Acer. ā€“ The first thing I want to point out is the innovative cooling technology that allows gamers to enjoy all the benefits of the new hardware with a minimum system temperature.

Price and Availability

Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5 gaming notebooks will be available in America in the second quarter of 2020. Price to be announced.
