A tractor in the virtual farmland. Saitek has introduced controllers for an open-world farm simulator

Saitek, a division of Mad Catz, introduced at the E3-2015 exhibition exclusive controllers for the popular open-world farm simulator. They were developed in conjunction with GIANTS Software, publisher of Farming Simulator, and are designed for the PC platform. New devices will help to control virtual harvesters, tractors and other agricultural machines as if they were real multi-ton special equipment.

The first part of the set includes a steering wheel and a floor module with two pedals. The devices are designed to achieve maximum realism in a relatively compact physical size. Rudder is equipped with a detachable handle for comfortable one-hand control, analog sticks, buttons and triggers. The maximum steering wheel angle is 900 degrees. Buttons are programmable, so you can assign different commands to them to concentrate on the game and have a lot of fun.

Floor module with two pedals gas and brake connects to your PC with 1.8 meter cable and takes only one USB port. The rubber pad prevents slipping and the pedals can be pressed at an angle of up to 20 degrees.

Another gadget that will help you effectively explore the farmland – a control panel with 25 programmable buttons and a secure attachment for fixing it on the table. It is equipped with a joystick, with which it is especially comfortable to control machinery with buckets and other additional attachments. The joystick can be moved vertically, horizontally, and in a circle, while the mode switch actually doubles the number of rotation axes available to the player. It also features a special wheel to set the pace of automatic machine movement – it will be much more convenient to work huge fields with this option. You can connect two Saitek faceplates to your PC, increasing your total number of programmable buttons to 50: This opens up almost unlimited customization possibilities for in-game hardware control.

The Saitek steering system and control panel for Farming Simulator will go on sale in late 2015. The controllers will be available for purchase individually and as a set that includes all the game accessories.

These new controllers by Saitek for the open-world farm simulator definitely sound intriguing! I’m curious to know how these controllers enhance the virtual farming experience. Can you provide more details on their features and how they simulate the feeling of driving a tractor in a virtual farmland?
