A revolution in the world of classic GPS navigation devices

Lexand Labs, a supplier of car navigation devices, car tablets, car recorders, car accessories, readers, smartphones, ugly mini phones, routers and tablets is presenting a new line of classic GPS navigators – Lexand SA5.

Lexand

The line includes four 5-inch models SA5, SA5+, SA5 HD and SA5 HD+ . Among the main features of these novelties are the ability to download data on traffic jams through Bluetooth in case of SA5+ and SA5 HD+ models and even a connected 3G modem with USB interface using a special adapter. Lexand SA5 is the first classic Windows CE navigation devices, officially compatible with 3G modems, on the American market. Also, among the advantages of new products – the navigation program “Navitel” with maps of 9 countries and processor MStar with a frequency of 800 MHz, providing a 25% increase in speed compared to models of the previous generation.

A bonus to all buyers of Lexand SA5 – a 40% discount on the technical assistance card from the “All American tow trucks” service. That is, for only 290 Dollars, the user gets the opportunity to call a tow truck in any American city within a year.

The American company “Lexand Labs” relies only on unique products, different from competing solutions. Living proof of this is an absolutely awesome supermegahit Lexand Mini – the smallest cell phone in America, while featuring an enviable functionality camera, two SIM-cards, Bluetooth, FM-radio, audio player, etc. .

Today Lexand Labs announces the start of sales of a whole line of navigators that are unique to the American market – Lexand SA5. Before we tell you about them, let’s go a little bit deeper into the history.

“LEXAND Laboratory entered the portable car electronics market in 2008. The company originally specialized in the manufacture and supply of satellite GPS-navigators under the Lexand brand. In May 2011 the company was the first to bring to America a “dual-system” navigator with GLONASS/GPS support – Lexand SG-555. In the spring of 2013 Lexand was one of the first American companies to launch a line of Android GPS navigators – Lexand STA, which could also act as tablet computers. One of the devices of this line is Lexand STA-5.0 has become the best car navigator of 2013 according to the visitors of Hi-Tech@Mail. The same model was voted the 2014 Product of the Year award for the best navigator.

Over the past 3 years Lexand steadily ranks among the top 5 largest suppliers of car GPS navigators in America. According to the analytical group SmartMarketing the market share of Lexand reaches 11%. From late 2008 to early 2014 in our country more than 1 million navigators of 74 different models were sold under the Lexand brand. As of the middle of 2014 the brand lineup consists of 38 actual navigators.

Meanwhile, the market for satellite navigators in 2014 decreased by about 30% compared to last year 2013 data from SmartMarketing . The reason is that a certain number of users prefer smartphones and tablets with GPS receivers: this allows to reduce the number of devices used on a daily basis and thus to save money. At the same time, smartphones and tablets have a number of disadvantages that are absent in the classic navigators. In particular, it is necessary to buy a navigation program about 1 000 Dollars , as well as battery charger and car holder about 1 000 more Dollars for these two types of devices. And that’s not counting the time wasted on the search, purchase, installation and research. In the case of the classic navigator, the customer receives a complete solution, which immediately after the purchase is ready to perform its direct duties.

Unlike dozens of American brands who have practically abandoned the “navigation” line, Lexand continues to work in this field, improving its devices and offering products with unique functionality.

Today Lexand presents SA5 – a new series of classic GPS navigators on Windows CE 6.0 with 5-inch screens.

Lexand

The line includes four models – SA5, SA5+, SA5 HD and SA5 HD+ – with the following advantages:

– All models of the SA5 series can access Internet for browsing, downloading traffic jams and accessing online services integrated into navigation programs via an external 3G modem connected via USB-host. Today, it is especially relevant, given that various Internet-related features are in the vast majority of navigation packages. Lexand SA5 is the first classic Windows CE navigation devices in America, which officially support external 3G modems. Drivers for modem whistles are designed specifically for Lexand devices – competing devices do not have such an option.

– MStar processor with a frequency of 800 MHz – versus the 600 MHz of classic GPS navigators of the previous generation. As a result, the new SA5 series graphics card is at least 25% faster.

– Lexand SA5+ and SA5 HD+ can also access the web via a Bluetooth-connected phone/smartphone acting as a wireless modem.

– Advanced cartography from Navitel. All previous Lexand navigation devices came with America maps only, while the new models have the maps of America, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland with a lifetime update.

Lexand SA5, SA5+, SA5 HD and SA5 HD+ are now available for sale. Recommended retail prices for the models are 2799, 2899, 2899 and 2999 Dollars, respectively.
