A real feeling of warmth with a Dyson Hot heater

Typically, many standard heaters cannot heat an entire room because they use rotating blades powered by inefficient electric motors to distribute air. Also, most conventional heaters use simple thermostats, limited control of airflow speed and direction, making it difficult to fine-tune the temperature and prevent the warm air from spreading evenly, or vice versa, to use the heater for individual, personalized heating. The Dyson Hot heater is specifically designed to heat rooms quickly and evenly, or for individual use.

Dyson Hot heater

The Dyson Hot heater is based on the patented Air Multiplier technology. For more than 3 years 22 engineers, including thermodynamic and fluid mechanics experts, researched and tested Air Multiplier technology for heating applications.

The principle is simple: the air is drawn in at the bottom of the device with a brushless motor with an impeller to mix the airflow. The use of a specially shaped impeller, which was fully developed by the Company’s engineers, allowed to create a powerful and uniform flow of air moving at a speed of 3.3 m/s.

The air is heated up by passing through a ceramic heating element concealed in the profile of the oval-shaped contour. A powerful jet of hot air is blown from a 2.5 mm wide slotted duct across the contour of the oval. Due to the special aerodynamic shape of the profile with an angle of 8 degrees, a rarefied pressure is created on the back side of the heater – the air from the room is drawn into the oval loop, mixing with the hot air from the heater and strongly accelerating.

The air flow also pulls in the surrounding air, increasing the total heat flow by a factor of 6. Thanks to Air Multiplier technology it heats the air in the room faster than any other conventional heater.

Thanks to its intelligent thermostat, the Dyson Hot heater is able to maintain the set room temperature between 1°C and 37°C. The device monitors the set temperature of the air, and, in case of its decrease, turns on, heating the room to the desired level, and after reaching the set value is off again.

Air Multiplier technology together with smart temperature control gives significant energy saving up to 2 times comparing to ordinary heaters equipped with simple thermostats.

Turning the Dyson Hot heater on and off, adjusting the temperature and airflow rate, is easy to do from anywhere in the room – the remote control is curved and magnetised, allowing it to be stored on the heater.

The ceramic heating element never exceeds a heating temperature of 200 degrees Celsius and is hidden inside the case. This makes the Dyson Hot safe and avoids the smell of burnt dust in the outgoing airflow.

The Dyson Hot heater can also be used as a fan. Unlike conventional heaters, where the fan mode creates a weak flow and a small air speed, the heater Dyson Hot uses a patented technology Air Multiplier, amplifying the air flow many times – a powerful air flow without the feeling of vibration cools more effectively.

The Dyson Hot heater has a continuously rotating function in the horizontal plane, for even distribution of warm air around the room. It is also possible to tilt the device relative to its center of gravity vertically. The device steadily fixes the desired position, with the touch of a finger – you can set the direction of warm air movement as you like.

“Conventional heaters use inefficient motors or grills that collect dust,” says James Dyson. – As the heater temperature increases, the room is only partially heated, and people feel the unpleasant smell of burning. Dyson engineers have developed a safe heater that heats a room quickly and evenly.
