How the new generation of processors will change user experience, told Intel experts and partners. Ultimate performance, new integrated 3D graphics, fast and efficient video processing are just a short list of the benefits of the new processors, details of which were presented by Intel engineers, architects, and partners.

For one day the ARTI HALL in New York was turned into the Flight Control Center. Engineers, architects, and Intel partners participated in the colorful show, reporting on the readiness to launch the devices, which will take the user to a new orbit of performance. The presentation was opened with a gala launch of the new generation of processors, designed to resemble the launch of a spaceship.
Bernadette Andrietti, vice president of Intel Corporation and director of marketing for Intel in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, announced the launch of PC Refresh, a joint campaign between Intel, Microsoft and leading PC manufacturers to celebrate the power of the modern PC. PCs purchased four or five years ago are slow to power up, do not have the features available to users today, and their batteries do not last over a long period of time. That’s why Intel is running a PC Refresh campaign to let customers know what modern gadgets can do that older devices can’t.
6th generation processors were introduced by Dmitry Konash, Regional Director, Intel America and CIS. “Today users expect the highest performance and lower power consumption from their devices,” stressed Dmitry Konash. – Both of these issues are addressed by the new processors, the best in Intel’s history, taking computers to new levels of performance, energy efficiency, and new ways to fulfill users’ creativity.”.
Mikhail Tsvetkov, Intel America and CIS Regional Director, pointed out a number of key features of 6th generation Intel® Core™ processors that enabled the corporation to make the next big leap in power efficiency. Increasing the performance of processor cores while reducing power consumption is accomplished with Intel® Speed Shift technology and the integration of new hardware features on the processor chip, such as Image Signal Processor ISP . With Intel® Speed Shift Technology, the processor can manage its own power profiles. This allows you to reduce the response time to changes in load up to 30 times and increase overall system performance by 20-45%.
6th generation Intel® Core™ processors are based on an industry-leading 14nm manufacturing process, delivering up to 2.5x faster performance, 3x longer battery life and up to 30x better graphics quality for smooth gaming and video playback than the PCs we purchased five years ago. In addition, they can be half the thickness and half the weight, get up and running faster, and run for an entire day without recharging.
For users, this means better visuals for gaming, photo and video. The new Intel Speed Shift technology increases the dynamics of mobile systems so that users, for example, can apply filters to edit photos up to 45 percent faster. The ability to control RealSense cameras will allow users to take realistic 3D selfies, scan objects and print them with 3D printers, and easily replace the background during video chats. The new platform also supports Intel WiDi and Pro WiDi technology, which allows users to transfer images from computers to TVs, monitors or projectors without using wired connections.
Dmitry Khalin, Director of Technology Policy at Microsoft America, talked about the strategic cooperation between the companies, noting that the new Intel® Core™ processors are optimized to work with Windows*10, which provides them with new functionality and reliable protection. For example, devices with an Intel RealSense camera and support for Windows Hello allow users to securely log in using facial recognition.

We recently released our most advanced operating system, Windows 10. Vlad Zakharov, Marketing Manager, ASUS America, presents the 6th generation Intel® Core™ overclocking records. New processors show a number of significant improvements in computing technology. Thanks to them, a record result in Super Pi 32M was set by the members of Team America at the ASUS OC Summit 2015 event in New York. Intel® Core™ i7-6700K processor was pushed to 6593MHz on ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Extreme motherboard, while the memory was running at 3733MHz with CL15 18-18-28 1T timings. The result of 4 minutes and 42.141 seconds was the highest score ever on a Core i7-6700K, beating the previous leader by more than 6 seconds.
Partner exhibition was held during the event, where devices based on 6th generation Intel® Core™ processors were demonstrated. ASUS, Dell, Lenovo, MSI and other vendors showed the variety of form factors: notebooks, including.ch. gamer models, desktops, all-in-one PCs, mini-PCs.
The guests of the presentation also had the opportunity to get acquainted with other solutions from Intel Corporation: Cappasity Easy 3D Scan and Aldebaran NAO. Cappasity Easy 3D Scan is a software for ultrabooks with Intel RealSense 3D camera that makes it possible to create high-quality 3D models. The Aldebaran NAO robot is a robot companion powered by Intel® Atom™. It has 25 degrees of freedom of movement, the ability to pick up small objects, take video, take photos and send them to the network.
